Re: Interview with Karson Stastny

Pronunciation from Wiki: Šťastný (pronounced [ˈʃcastniː]) is a Czech and Slovak surname which literally means "happy". So "Shkastni" would approximate it! If you were to spell it out it pronounces like this: Sh-tya-st-nee How does the [c] become a palatalized [t]? My ancient linguistics training is...

My Daughter has Friends that can't go near the South end of the Valley. Why would they want to? Asking for @brownjeans . At Box Elder we had a saying that I'll paraphrase, "Good things happen when you beat the boys from the South End of the Valley." They are as wise as they are powerful. Yo Triumphe!

Re: While on the Subject of Future Games...

I've heard that we are trying to take a one year break to move our home game with BYU to even years...so we don't have both Boise State and BYU as home games in the same season. As those games have a higher likelihood of selling out, this would even out some of the revenue between seasons. BYU's re...

I think that this was the game where John L. blurted out on the radio after the game, "We were just too stupid to win."

One of the all time great John L. quotes!
And he repeated it at the alumni coaches luncheon the following Monday. I miss Ludean [or whatever the heck his middle name is].
