Re: New basketball venue for usu
If I recall correctly, one of the downsides of renovation is that it could take at least a year to complete, we would have to find somewhere else to play home games for one season. This is years old information so maybe things have changed. You can't go back and change the past but I wish they would...

Re: New QB transfer?
The outpouring of concern and fairness here is touching, of course with a 2-4 start half of the board would be calling for him to be benched.
Please continue.

Re: Realignment Idea from SI
Just don't see this happening at all even in a Nuclear situation. The rocky mountain alignment isn't too bad, I'm sure Utah and probably BYU would be horrified with the situation but too bad, you played in a league with all of those teams in the past. The real problem is some of the other alignments...

The Utes would cancel the season before they would play USU.

This is actually an NCAA thing. The NCAA is the one who determines eligibility. They can change this any time they want.

Re: Woodward?
What's to keep him from coming back to USU for his senior season? What's to lose if his ultimate dream is to play in the league. If he played a year injury free with his consistent production, he would hear his name in the draft. I have to believe he wants to continue playing or he wouldn't be tryi...

The old North Cache small gym, soft spots on the floor and terrible sight lines. I heard 2nd hand that when USU joined the PCAA back in the late 70's that Pacific played in an old Opera house, behind one basket was a stage and you could set a basketball down on one end of the court and it would roll...

Re: NET rankings
There just seems to be too much weight on who you play. Look at Marquette. 18-12 overall 3-8 on the road, 8-10 in conference, 2-8 against the top half of the Big East and they have lost 6 out of their last 7 games yet they have a 26 net ranking and bracketologists have them pretty safely in the danc...

Re: LET THE SPECULATION BEGIN
To really have a chance to keep him I think he needs to be bumped up in pay to around $1 Million. If USU did this is the fan base ready to pay a corresponding increase in tickets/parking/seat licensing to help pay for this bump in pay or is there an expectation out there that this money should all c...

WTF:?! :wtf: He was willing to go to perhaps the worst or second worst place in the entire conference to be a DC? Hello coach GA! Where were we on this one? You relieve your rookie DC of his duties and a long time friend/peer that is known for his defensive prowess becomes available and you don't t...

Mark Eaton stands there, planted like a tree, and Magic lowers his head and runs straight at him, bounces off him and falls to the ground in the deciding game in the Western Conference Finals. Of course the refs call the foul on the tree. And that play changes the dynamic of the game, and the Faker...

Promotion and not firing? I know the majority of posters were all really happy with the way he handled the offense (sarcasm). Re: Whos the next OC
Tbh I think Paul Peterson could be a good fit. Eastern Washington had the number 1 offense in FCS this year (ypg of 525). Not sure what their OC is like but could be worth a look. I would 100% be excited with any OC from Eastern Washington. They've taken down P5 schools. That offense is dynamite IM...

Re: Sanford headed to Minnesota
Maybe you can straighten this out for me, you have concerns that Gary is going to turn USU in to the UofU 2.0 but then accuse Gary of forcing an offensive coordinator to keep an offense that is the exact opposite of the UofU formula? Which one is it that you are "concerned" about? Also what is so b...

Re: Sanford headed to Minnesota
You still don’t have a clue. How do you know what conversations took place between Sanford and Gary? How do you know they both didn’t come up with that “solution”. How do you know it wasn’t Sanfords idea to keep things as similar as possible? You just assume Sanford wanted things one way and Gary m...

Re: Sanford headed to Minnesota
I'm concerned. Gary interfered with Sanford's ability to do his job by proclaiming that last-year's offense needed to stay in place. Have we begun the UofU OC cycle? Will Andersen continue to handcuff our OCs and then push them out the door when the offense doesn't perform? Will we end up in a cycl...

#1 is the worst but since it is the 3rd time in the last 5 years that USU has done this in a bowl game, the shock has worn off for me. Not exactly a sign of a big time program is it.

Columbi has looked good in mop up time but it is a different game when you are the guy and the opposing DC spends the week game-planing for you.
I think this is another ? going in to the 2020 season.

Re: Future of USU Football
Serious question: how much of this is due to Matt Wells leaving the cupboard bare and how much of this is due to current coaching? I feel like the offense was thin - but we knew that before the season started. IMO if there are comments being made about the players not being strong enough or the tal...
