Not the best release point on his throws. I’d be a little concerned.

Re: New commit - Jahaziel Lee
Anyone able to clarify if Jahaziel Lee is going to be here for Spring ball or is he not coming until summer? I had read somewhere that he was on track to graduate from GT by end of last semester but then shouldn't he be able to join us now? I'm working on it my Aggie brother. Jahaziel will be here ...

I’m hoping we can get an impact WR yet. Then focus on the freshman class. Excited to see if all these transfers and existing players can come together as a unified team and make some noise next season.

Re: New RB Commit Calvin Tyler Jr.
Looks like 45 yards last year and about 70 the year before. Curious if this is a scholarship kid? RB was the strength of OSU’s team. He was 3rd on the depth chart between two guys talented enough to be P5 feature backs. I think he’ll do well at USU. He was definitely a high school star in Texas and...

Is Peasley for sure coming back? I don’t know but id assume with team Meetings and classes starting this week we would have heard if he isn’t at least here for spring practice. In BA’s interview with Scotty G this week he mentioned both Peasley and Bonner as qb’s so I’d assume he’s at least here fo...

Re: What the Aggies now need to do
I could see us splitting with Boise but I’m not confident we’ll sweep all four of the “also rans” that we have left (@UNLV, @Fresno, Wyo, Nevada). I also think the other 3 top schools will likely slip up elsewhere too. Will certainly be fun to watch things play out.

Tonight is CSU's 4th road game in 7 days so it'd really be impressive if they can come into the Spectrum and win. If we win tonight and sweep CSU, I believe the conference title will likely come down to USU and Boise. Seeing as Boise still has to play SDSU and CSU, it will be interesting to see if ...

A coaches job is to recruit the best 13-15 players he can and then let them compete for playing time. Someone has to lose that battle and will not get minutes and eventually either ride the pine or transfer out. That doesn’t mean they were a miss necessarily. It’s just a dynamic that every single te...

Otto Tia from Northridge HS, UT. Will play WR. Jack Rigby from Davis HS, UT. Will play TE. Do you anticipate either Tia or Rigby seeing the field this season? I'd be surprised if Rigby did considering we have 3-4 solid TE's on the roster. Tia at WR intrigues me a bit seeing as he is a 6'3" WR with ...

IMO those hoping or counting on Zapala to be any kind of consistent contributor are going to be very disappointed. That includes Smith then cause in his own words Zapala “is going to be a star”. Smith has made a living off of recognizing potential and then maximizing it. I'm going to side with Coac...

The CBS Sports one is interesting as it has the Mountain West getting 4 teams in. Boise gets 9 seed, then CSU, USU, and SDSU get 11 seeds, with USU and SDSU both in separate play-in games. I can't figure out how CSU would avoid the play-in game but we wouldn't, especially since it was updated today....

Roster going forward — who is sticking around?
I think it’d take a pretty special job and fit to get him to leave. I’ve always worried about an upper Midwest P5 program snatching him up though. Someone like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Iowa, or Nebraska. Although Nebraska is awful, I think Hoiberg will be given more time to build. Petino is...

I wonder what the excuse will be after Queta leaves and Smith is still winning games. Last year it was, "Let's see him do it without Merrill", now it's Queta. Not saying Queta isn't everything to this team, he is. So was Sam. CSU fans are claiming it's because Smith took over a "loaded" team. Not s...

I think I’d start Bean on him and see how it goes. Bean has a good combination of strength and size and athleticism. Bean also has the grit and determination to be physical with him. Maybe Fonz guards him some too. If he hurts us by pulling them out to the perimeter and then driving past them, I’d s...

In all seriousness, I hate to see any Aggie career end like this. I don’t much blame him for leaving though. As the season wore on the less chance I saw of h...

It is a two man race for player of the year at his point. Who is the other one you are thinking of in the league? I’m not sure who he is referencing, but I’d assume Alston from Boise. That being said, Grant Sherfield from Nevada is having a heckuva year. He may not win POY assuming Nevada finishes ...

Re: Summarizing the new transfers / recruits
I think a nice stretch goal is 6 wins and a bowl game. We should be able to go 2-2 at a minimum in our non-conference games as I don’t see us losing to either North Dakota or NMSU. Going 4-4 in league games won’t be easy but doable. May depend on which games are at home and which are away.

The Finlinson kid seems to have that good combination of length, skill, shooting, play making ability, and confidence/swagger. A mission would do him well to mature his frame more. I prefer him over the Cali kid tbh.

Considering CSU is also playing 4 games in 7 days, and all of theirs are on the road, I think they are at the greater disadvantage. We haven’t had to travel at all. We should be happy with this scenario not worried.

Wasn’t Tyler Newbold from Zoobieland somewhere? I think his dad was like the PA announcer for BYU football or something like that although I believe his parents were both USU grads. I may have my story mixed up but I will say it is difficult to find a more true blooded Aggie than Tyler.

Csu is very good. I am interested in how they try to negate queta. Queta should have a hay day on this team with offense. I wonder if on offense csu will try to have 5 shooters and play small to keep queta away from the rim. It’s a double edged sword. If they do go small, Queta will eat them alive ...
