Re: New QB

Bonner was part of a two qb rotation this season at Arky State. Either Bonner wasn’t head and shoulders better than the other guy, or BA liked the idea that the opposition would need to prepare for two qb’s. I bet BA will find a way to get Peasley involved as he’s one of our weapons.

Re: Who are our assistant coaches? Anyone heard

To be fair, the Minutemen have been awful ever since jumping to FBS 9 years ago, which was long before Micah James got there. 1 and 2 win seasons have been the norm other than a couple 3 and 4 win seasons sprinkled in there. The highlight of their FBS existence was their 16-10 win over BYU in 2017. ...

I just checked the portal....annnd he’s not it!! Stupid article. Dont know if he was but removed his name or if he never was. Devi...

Wait 1 FREAKIN MINUTE...

After seeing what BA’s offense has done in the past to show case receivers, it would be wise to stick around. Shouldn’t have a problem getting a couple good transfers either. He has a very good history of having successful offenses, especially receivers. Receivers should be super thrilled to play i...

This was exactly what we needed. What i loved is that we completely blew the sock off SJSU and did not shoot great from the 3 pt line. One thing we are doing extremely well is playing really good defense and rebounding as well as i can remember. Those 2 things will translate to any game we play. Ai...

Here’s a receiver that we recruited before that ended up going to ASU. Target Transfers

How serious are the coaches looking at quarterbacks in the transfer portal? Are they satisfied with the current QBs on our roster? And no I am not saying we should get Jake Bentley. I think it's likely too late to get in on a high school kid. With only 3 scholarship QBs on the roster and it being V...

Vedischev is a chucker. This is why he isn't seeing the floor as much as he could be. I wonder if this is something that can be taught, I would think it could but it baffles me that he would play that way knowing that is keeping him from playing. I mean I’ve never seen something like it at usu. he ...

Queta vs sjsu

I think most teams are sending double teams on him when he gets the ball down low, which is what I’d do too if I was an opposing coach. If he continues to kick it out and our outside shooting picks up, and he can continue to find cutters to the basket as well, he can help us most by facilitating the...

Re: Our guards are better than expected.

Worster and Ashworth have exceeded my expectations. They are firmly in the rotation and will help determine how far this team can go this year. Considering one was just playing Montana HS ball last season and the other was out of hoops for a few years, they are both ahead of schedule. Bairstow frust...

I don’t ever remember when Boise had a defensive guy as head coach. Koetter, Dawkins, Petersen, and Harsin have all been offensive guys and kept that same “Boise” style of offensive game. I like Zahar's taller size over Shulga. Shulga just seemed to get overpowered easily. I think Zahar is a bit of a loose cannon though, thus the reason the coaches aren't trusting him to make the best decisions at this point. Hopefully he can get that taken care of so we can get his shooting and scor...

Yeah I’m there with ya. I’m not sold on WCC being significantly better than the MW. Conferences are pretty even in my eyes except their best is a bit better than our best (Zags>Aztecs). If you match up 1v1, 2v2, 3v3,......10v10, and the MW 11th team doesn’t play (SJSU), I’d take my chances that the ...

Our defense is leading to great offensive transition opportunities too. If we can become a bit more consistent from 3 we will be very tough to beat. It helps that Miller is shooting the ball well (46% from deep so far this year).

Bummer for the kid. This whole COVID year has been disastrous for him. If he can keep mentally and emotionally in a good place and heal up well, he should have a good reset for next season and come out ready to contribute. He's one of those nightmare matchups for opposing teams if he can stay healthy.

Bringing in some more WR weapons to surround whomever the QB is will be key. If you don't bring in more weapons then might as well play Peasley because he can at least create with his feet to compensate. Problem is that he isn't a consistent passer, so if we get more weapons we need someone who can ...

With Shelley gone we know we need to bring in at least one more QB just to fill up the QB room.
