I put too much faith in the USUfans schedule I guess. That’d be great if it was in the Spectrum ..... and someone can mount a webcam.

Re: Scrimmage on Saturday

The narrative is nobody wants to come to Logan. Apparently it’s true regardless of crowd size. Lol. There are actually some similarities between Cache Valley and Greeley. - Populations just over 100k - Both are about an hour from an international airport - Both have large JBS meat processing plants...

Scrimmage on Saturday

Have we ever hosted one of these scrimmages or have we always played them on the road? It seems like the “bigger” program typically hosts them so why are we going to Greeley?

Thanks 22! Well if he’s a mission kid then LB is fine. We’ll need him by then as most of our young LB’s now will be graduated or upper class-men by then.

Re: New Commit!!

We recruiting him as a WR or a LB or a DE? I read somewhere that back in the spring when we first offered Otto, we told him he’d play linebacker. TBH I think we are pretty set at good young LB’s, especially if we only play 2 on the field at a time. I do think we really need a big strong wideout thou...

We could have really used Jamarcus this year. A corner with size would have made the difference in the Wake game.

Re: Which newcomer will have most impact?

I agree with the poll that Alphonso and Bairstow are the most likely newcomers to make an impact this year. If Queta misses significant time with injury, I think Kuba could surprise a bit. Longer term I think McChesney could be special and a matchup problem for a lot of teams if he can shot as well ...

Re: Because it’s a bye week, let’s look at next year’s team needs

Who is our next NFL linebacker on the roster. Could that actually be one of our weaknesses next year? I think Metzenheimer has been solid this season but the next NFL backer on our roster after Woody could very well be Jaymason Willingham. Nice size and frame and a very good all around athlete. Kil...

Re: LSU is overrated

You only have to go back two years to find a G5 team that walked into the oh so scary Death Valley blah blah blah and come out with a win. A good but not especially great Troy State team beat an LSU team that had a lot of preseason hype (ranked 13). The combination of coming off a bye, being told ho...

Re: Faith in this Team against LSU.

LSU is undoubtedly more talented, that just goes to say, but the most talented team doesn't always win. We are better than North Carolina in my mind and UNC nearly knocked off #1 Clemson last week, which was a 27 point favorite. I see our game as similar odds. LSU players coming off of a bye and pla...

It’ll be interesting to see if Hall has the same moxie as Wilson. Wilson is a gutty competitor, overly confident, and doesn’t allow the moment to get too big for him. Time will tell if Hall has the “it” factor like Wilson seems to have.

With LSU wearing purple jersey with white helmet and pants, I hope we don't wear all white. It was awful watching last week's game on TV when CSU was all white and USU was all white except for blue jersey. Too much white to keep straight. I think it should be a rule that home and away teams need to ...

Did you see just before they ran the play when the QB McDonald walked over to the head coach (Rolovich) and said something to him and Rolovich kind of made one of those faces like “I don’t know .... I think this would require us to win the conference, which is not out of the realm of possibility. If we can stay relatively healthy I think we should go into the Boise game with 1 conference loss at most and have a real shot at beating them and going to the ccg.

Long term forecast is predicting high of 89 and sunny that day with 56% humidity. Would typically hit that max temp at about 1 or 2 pm this time of year but humidity is likely to be the lowest at mid-day.

I like those pewter unis with the blue sleeve, I just don’t care for a white helmet with them. Blue lid with that uniform would be lit, like we wore against the Utes the last time we played them. White on pewter is kind of like dark blue on black, just doesn’t look right.
