Re: Credit sdsu - they made some adjustment with their OLine

I say credit to SDSU for making the trip to Logan. That seemed to be the most difficult hurdle in winning the game yesterday. Once they showed up, the win was a given and without resistance.

He was suited up and on the sideline with his helmet on all night. They talked several times throughout the game about the large brace on his knee. They reported after halftime that he was unavailable for the second half. Hurt knee.

If USU has no passing game and the defense can't tackle, how is this anything but an Aggie loss? The only question is by how many points. I say 17.

SDSU - 31
USU - 17

I'm going to revise this:

31-16 SDSU. I think we'll miss another PAT attempt.

Re: Miller family sell the Utah Jazz

Historically, this investment provides a huge ROI down the road. NBA teams have gone up and up just like home values in SLC ;) If the $1.6B was just the price tag for the Jazz (which it isn't - there are other assets and franchises included in the sale), the ROI on the Miller's investment 35 years ...

Re: Two breaks we caught, or it would have been a lot worse

Maybe it's time we let our All-American returner field punts (assuming he's a go for next week). He can't catch well when there’s a crowd of opposing players near him.... hence the reason he’s never started at receiver... since you think you know everything Apparently neither can Jordan. Maybe, we ...

Re: What an ending to Game 4

I don't know how much I agree with taking out Snell. He was pitching great! In a regular season game... he stays in, but the playoffs are so different. You're always playing to averages and you don't want to get guys used to the pitcher. It's always scary giving someone a third try at your pitcher....

Game 6 - why pull Snell in the fifth? He was cruising and in a zone. Managers over think sometimes. When a guy is in a groove, sometimes you just have to let him ride, regardless of what these data says.

Re: Not good news for baseball

Baseball is a little different animal than most other sports. Player development takes longer, in most cases. While a kid can be mostly ready to compete in basketball, soccer, golf, football, etc. at age 18 or 19, that doesn't necessarily hold true for baseball players. Baseball requires a large min...

What could Shelley have done better? He had no help from his receivers the entire game. Then when the running game picked up they didn't call any plays for him to make a big play. Some Perspective

It is no surprise that Boise State has USU's number in head-to-head competition. They have beaten USU 16 out of the last 17 meetings. I was wondering how other teams in the league measure up to BSU. These are MW school's records against BSU since the Aggies joined the conference in 2013: SDSU: 2-2 F...

Re: punt game evolved?

It’s because of how punters punt now. When they punt it end over end, usually with a shorter field, it creates a bounce that is less likely to quickly kick forward into the end zone. Allowing 10 yards of space for the ball to land with gunners right there waiting for it, gives a high probability th...

Not throwing to the tight end has been a hallmark of USU offenses dating back years. The last time we effectively and consistently used the tight end as a pass catcher was when Chris Cooley was here. It is frustrating, to say the least. I would think that a good way to get some confidence and moment...

What an ending to Game 4

That was a fun game. I could not believe that ending. What a meltdown by the Dodger defense. Janzen doesn't back up the catcher, centerfielder muffs a ball, bad relay by Muncy, missed catch by Smith, Arozarena falls down. How many lead changes? Wow.

Boise only passed for 178 yards last year. It wasn't the pass the killed us - it was the run (297 yards rushing as a team). Sophomore George Holani ran for 187 yards himself - on just 16 carries. He was getting big chunks of yardage nearly every time he touched the ball. Is he still with them this ...
