which scenario would you prefer for 2012?

If you had to choose the outcome of USU's football future, which would you prefer -

A) a 4-8 record as a member of the MWC

Or

B) a 9-3 record as a member of the WAC?

Which would be healthier for USU in the short term? In the long term?

Re: NEW RUMOR 7/26..USU to MW...Announcement Expected in 15

I'll play along. The Big East will add Central Florida. CUSA responds by adding ...... Wait for it .... NMSU. UTEP says I'll be damned if I'm going to be in a conference with NMSU and calls the MWC saying "let's talk". The MWC, after ingeniously laying down the USU smokescreen, invites UTEP and SJSU...

Calvillo threw 5 touchdown passes last game to put him in a tie on the all-time career touchdowns list in the CFL. He has certainly done USU proud with his play on the field and his humanitarian efforts in the community. Certainly one of the most successful Aggie footballers of all time. Good luck o...

Wow. Wow, wow. You are all criticizing Benson... yet again? He had a pile o' sh!t start with on this rebuild. All of the premier institutions bolted (USU excluded, of course ;) ). And IMO, Benson has done a pretty respectable job. Here is what he has done: 1) Benson has added 4 schools in top 40 TV...

I blink and every hyphenated Texas school is invited to the party. WTF? I'm okay with the Denver and Seattle additions because they pass they eye test (contain no hyphens), and are both respectable universities academically. I genuinely would have rather added UVU than anyone else though. The WAC i...

It's good to see Stew relaxing on his scheduling policy. I think he can see that his post season success depends on it. His peer institutions like BYU, Utah (two teams he beats regularly), UNM, SDSU, Nevada, and UNLV have all received 5,4,3 and even 2 seeds in recent years while Stew's Aggies (argua...

I'm not impressed by Kanter. I smell yet another big stiff the Jazz have drafted who will give 8 boards and 8 points a game. KOC and crew have not shown an ability to get decent big men. Maybe they've just sucked because of Sloan. Maybe they've sucked because of Corbin. Maybe they've just sucked. H...

Sacramento TV station reported that Wimberly and some other members of the Wolfpack football team were involved in fight in Reno. Wimberly was shot in the stomach. The only report was that it is not a life-threatening wound. Hopefully he recovers fully - he is certainly a gifted pass catcher.

Re: Which is most likely to happen

I think the WAC holds steady for 5 or so years after UNR, UH, and FSU leave. No team will dominate the league and there will be a lot of parity - one team could be first one year then last 2 years after that. Then I think one of the Texas schools will bolt for CUSA in the way that South Florida, the...

Which is most likely to happen

I don't know how to set up a poll on here but I would be interested to see what people think will happen first. There seems to be a lot of optimism on here that USU will move into the void that Boise State will leave at the top of the Conference once Nevada, Fresno and Hawaii leave. My poll question...

I remember somebody had Brown as their "sleeper" wing player in a year or two.

Personally, I think this sleeper player is Danny Berger. I hope he makes Aggie fans forget they ever considered Stephen Rogers was worthy of a USU scholarship.

Good luck to Brad.

I don't know on this one. I think USU got some early indication that Loveridge was aiming much higher than USU and didn't bother wasting their time on him. They filled that position with Bair and moved on to getting wings that could shoot from outside and take it to the rack, while being quick enoug...
