Re: Wells Fired at TT

I wonder if he regrets leaving USU. He got a nice paycheck at Texas Tech. But he probably could have stayed at USU for the long haul as long as he steadily won 6 to 8 games per season, with the occasional double digit win season, and occasional wins over BYU. Don't give him or the Admin any ideas.

Re: Mountain West Bowl Eligibility

Here is my order of bowls I'd like to see the Aggies in among those with MWC ties and those that are "at large" (with the safe assumption that the Fiesta Bowl will not go MWC). LA Bowl - not too far away, fun location, and best payout (no number I could find, but it'll be pretty good .[/url]). Good...

The only thing firing him now does it help his record. He would have gotten 4 more losses on his win-loss otherwise.

You don't fire someone and then reinstate them. You put them on leave and then reinstate them. Rolo is gone and isn't getting an exemption. Yep if he was getting an exception it would have happened by now. He has been fired. This isnt some media or fan rumor I mean the school has held a press confe...

Honestly, this might increase the chances of an SMU, Tulsa, or Memphis coming to the MWC.

It's still unlikely, but those schools will be answering phone calls for sure.
SMU fans are not happy to be in a conference with North Texas. They very much see themselves as above them.

Re: One Thing we Forget as Fans

UNLV reminds me a lot of us in 2011. They’ve brought in some good talent and are competing in all their games. They just haven’t figured out how to win. Once they flip that switch they could become a decent program. I agree. This UNLV team is right on the edge of being real competitors. They just n...

by 3 or 3.5 points, depending on the sports book. Interesting. Other lines of interest - SJSU is a 5 point favorite at UNLV (we closed at 7, but obviously didn't cover). BYU is around a 2 point favorite at Wazzou. We were 17 point underdogs. Utah was a 15 point favorite over them (but game was in S...

Re: Crumbl Cookies - Aggie Blue Mint Flavor

Last night was my first time going to a Crumbl Cookie. I was picking up the treat for family night, and we've got five of us. They sell the cookies individually, as a pack of 4, or as a dozen. I sold my kidney and bought the dozen. Should have just done the 4-pack, as it would have been plenty with...

Re: BBD Stats! BBD Stats! Wherefore art thou, BBD Stats! (Week 4 - Boise St)

I'm not always sure how to explain when the yards and the scores don't line up as expected, but it probably boils down to turnovers and field position (i.e. special teams). Boise State is one of the nation's leaders in turnover margin. That's essentially why. They almost won the game against Ok St ...

Honestly, them starting 1-5 well within reach right now. USU, Nevada, then BYU. I don't expect them to lose all three but I don't think reasonable Boise fans feel like any of the three are locks right now.

I could see the big football teams just splitting away from the NCAA while leaving their other sports intact in the current NCAA conferences. Down the road the mid-tier conferences and teams (like us) might follow suit, allowing their other sports to be in more regional and manageable conferences, ...

Obviously it could happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if those 4 schools are mostly looking to twist the MWC's arm into sweetheart deals. I don't think any of those four schools brings enough value aside from Boise to twist any concessions out of the MW. MAYBE SDSU. Certainly not AFA or CSU. The B...

I'm really glad that USU beat their FCS opponent AND Jacksonville State was ranked 19th, North Dakota was ranked 9th (not sure when the rankings come out, I'm sure ND will drop Jacksonville will rise). On a positive side, we got votes in the r/cfb poll and finished directly above the University of Utah. We were roughly 48th or so.

We also were above Fresno State, Boise State, SDSU, SJSU, and AF who also got votes. We were behind Nevada (35th)

Kyle is the opposite of the qb whisperer. Utah is where QBs and WRs careers go to die. With how well Huntley has done in the league, you would think the Utes would have been championship contenders. I mean... they were. Had they won that Pac12 championship game vs Oregon, they would have been right...
