Re: Tim Duryea Salary Dispute?

I wish they would have fought it more. They already paid him 4 years for 3 years work. He didn't do a good job at USU. He should accept that and be grateful for the opportunity and move on.

Re: When will we know if there will be a season?

Part of me worries they'll start the season, but a few players will get Covid 19 and then they'll shut it all down again. Likely if they do decide to play, FB is an extreme contact sport, if you've ever been at the bottom of a pile you know what I mean. And that is the question the NCAA and pro lea...

Re: ABB Madness Elite Eight: 1 1998-99 Win over Utah which came in ranked high VS. 7 06-07 Beating Utah on three by Spic

For me it is beating Utah in 98 and it isn't close. That win was so massive at the time. If you said "Utah State can beat Utah in basketball" it would be like saying someone can fly or walk on water. It just wasn't thought of as possible. The 2006 game was a great ending, but we were a better progra...

How about the 2009 Marquette team that had 4 future NBA players in Wesley Mathews, Jimmy Butler, Lazar Hayward, Jerel McNeal. Looking back now that Jimmy Butler is a star in the NBA, it is crazy he only took one shot in that game. Lazar Hayward killed the Aggies. Aggies did a good job on Mathews.

I selfishly hope we play Eastern Oregon again since I have a cousin that will be going there, and I want to be able to talk trash to him. I'd bet with him on the game and give him 40 points! And offer to buy him a steak at this expensive restaurant in Boise if Eastern Oregon wins! Be careful. After...

That UCLA team that beat USU in 2001

Aggies lost to UCLA in their one second round appearance of most of our lifetimes. That was a loaded ucla team. Future Jazzman Earl Watson was on that team along with future NBA players Matt Barnes, Dan Gadzuric and Jason Kapono. How does that team with 4 future NBA players stack up with other great...

Dont feel bad at all. He'll get to watch one of the best for a few years and be ready when it is his time or be traded like garoppolo was and take over a team that way. This is better for love than being handed the keys to a franchise from day 1.

I don't think he was comparing Utah State to LSU. He was just making the point that you can make the NFL from Utah State which has shown to be true over and over. Nobody is saying USU sends the most players to the pros or is comparable to the SEC.

Yep you can make the NFL from anywhere. Just looking at quarterbacks; Tony Romo, Carson Wentz and Joe Flacco didn't even go to FBS schools. If we go through mid major quarterbacks that made the NFL, the list would be long. If your goal is to make the NFL, you should not be scared away from playing a...

Re: Does anyone miss the NBA?

NBA died when they stopped allowing defense. 1990s NBA was the best (even if low scoring). Now the NBA is just launching endless 3 pointers, and 1 on 1 isolation ball. Fewer offensive sets. Centers are no longer dominant players. It's boring to watch. I disagree partly. I hated the illegal defense ...

They would...

I'm not sure why so many of you care about conference strength? The days of the Mountain West getting three or more bids have likely passed us by. The non-power conferences become the proving ground for players the big schools missed out on or need to fill roster spots with when their young players jump early for the NBA and the dumping ground for players they misjudged when recruiting. I have a feeling seeing a 4-year player from a non-power...
