Re: QB Draft Question
Love was lucky enough to go to a good team in the first round. Wilson is really good, but very well may go high enough to go to a bad team. For a QB in the NFL, talent is the most important thing, but situation is easily second and it makes a huge difference on a players career trajectory.

Re: New QB
I hope we can get some additional receiver weapons to put around Bonner because he was spoiled at Arky State. Although we do have a few nice play makers he may have a rude awakening unless BA and Cefalo can pull in a few more. Based on Bonners ASU stats I assumed he wasn’t much of a runner but he d...

Re: Harsin to Auburn
Oddly, it had reached a point where Boise being good is actually bad for the MWC. Their sweetheart deals and regular threatenings to leave or blow up the conference unless they get more sweetheart deals are far worse for the conference than them being average or bad would ever be. For the health of ...

Re: Harsin to Auburn
In theory, it would be bad for the MWC to have Boise hire a bad coach but they're so full of themselves I actually think it would be good for the conference.
Here's to this being true and Boise hiring a stinker to replace him.

Re: Cockett comments from sources to channel 2.
Somebody needs to ask the 1280 guys and the local media if Frank would be considered at BYU or Utah if Sitake or Whitt left. If not, why should he have gotten the USU job? Frank's religion had nothing to do with him not being hired (especially considering that the guy they hired is much more public ...

Re: What's our QB Situation
Sorry guys, I think we need a starting QB in the worst way. I agree. Peasley has some strengths an makes some great throws. He is no where near consistent enough to be the starter to a good team. We can hope he improves, but hope isn't a plan. We need to bring in people at QB more than any other po...

Re: What's our QB Situation
If Peasley is head and shoulders above Legas and Calvin (assumed because they never even got a single snap), we very much need a solid transfer QB. Peasley (or the other two) may be good with time, but they're not ready yet.

Re: Liam out for the season
I think this will pretty much be the end of Liam McChesney. He may come back and play a little here and there but he will but won't be able to contribute much. Once a big guy gets an injury in the knee/ankle/foot, he is pretty well done for. He's had a rough go of it since he arrived. I feel bad fo...

Re: Rudy Gobert - New Contract
I say right amount just because they got him re-signed. Obviously I wish they could have signed him for half that and had money to chase a 3rd star, but they've built their entire team and strategy around his unique skills. Re-signing him was critical. They ended up giving him 5% over the max and 10...

The advent of this board aligns with the resurrection Utah State football. Even with a couple down years lately, we're still in a totally different place than we were before this board.

Re: Coach already hitting the recruiting
Anderson landing a 4* guy like Sirmon would be HUGE for perception to other recruits.
Guy comes in to a 1-5 program that clearly has issues and in his first class brings in a 4* transfer QB with 3 to play 3? That would be enormous for selling the program to other recruits.

Re: Brent Brennan SJSU coach leading candidate for Arizona Job
If Brennan bolts for Arizona, will Frank Maile be the top choice to replace him at SJSU? If he isn't in consideration for a head coaching spot at any of the conference peer institutions, why would he be the top choice at USU? Would any school in the conference consider Maile with the resume he has ...

Do we know who our defensive coordinator will be? Bert Watts LB coach at Memphis and former Fresno State DC will be the DC. Anderson and Watts are represented by the same agent. Is Bo Maile related to Frank? If so, how is it possible he's still planning on coming here?
Also, there doesn't seem to be an enormous problem with signing Polynesians, at least not yet. Most of that group is Poly.

Supposedly he has an assistant pay pool of $2.5 million, which I think is a significant increase on what USU has offered before.
