+1 if he is looking for a good fit in terms of style of play and system BYU is not a good fit.

We do have 7 footer Carson Shanks committed for 2013

Re: Official Summer 2012 Ratball thread

What are the rules on summer rat ball? Coaches are not allowed right? Do the upperclassmen teach the new guys the system? Any organization at all?

Re: Upgrades to the Spectrum

Needed upgrades 1. Tear down existing suites/press box area, then build new suites in this location with elevator access new finishes and the works. Build new suites on opposite side to match and install integral camera station so to get rid of the existing platform and put the seats back. 2. New pa...

Re: New 2014 offer

I think its just a ploy by Stew to get Rose to make an offer to Nixon because Rose knows Stew is good at evaluating talent and he won't want to risk losing a Utah county kid to USU. Rose will bite, give Nixon an offer, and of course Nixon will commit on the spot because BYU has always been his favo...

Re: Quincy Bair

I agree the coaches see something in Jean. What jumps out to me on his stat line is 6.7 RPG and 3.9 TOPG. If he can continue to rebound like that from the 3 and cut his turnovers down, he will see the floor. If he can't cut down on his turnovers he will be getting the hook a lot and we all know what...

Re: Quincy Bair

Simple, play the best players. We have to get rid of a few after next year anyways. Only 1 I think...and that's if Jalen Moore isn't on some sort of non athletic, his dad works for the school after all. When I was in school way back in the day my friends mom worked for the school. He only had to pa...

Re: Quincy Bair

Simple, play the best players. We have to get rid of a few after next year anyways. If that be the case Berger will play next year. He will beat out Jean simply because he knows the system. I expext Jean to look lost out there for at least the first 1/3 of the season if he plays. Berger will be muc...

Re: Quincy Bair

You could basically not redshirt any of the incoming freshman, and then just redshirt 2 of the 3 next season if you wanted to. 2012-2013 Roland/Doc Medlin/Bradshaw Butterfield/Jean/Bair 2013-2014 Roland/Doc Medlin/Butterfield Butterfield/Berger/Jean Put Riley on the Medlin plan, play him his freshm...

Re: Quincy Bair

I see your point, however if he redshirts this comming year I don't see him playing much the following year either, This year he will be the third option at the 3 (Butterfield, Jean, Bair) next year he would probably be the 4th option at the 3 (Butterfield / Berger, Jean, Bair) I say let him get his...

Quincy Bair

Redshirt him his second year in the program. Next year he can compete with Jean and Butterfield for minutes while Berger redshirts. It worked out well for Preston Medlin to redshirt his second year, why not Bair? It seams to me that either way Bair will have 1 year that he will have a lot of players...
