Re: Replay of TT vs. WV

When I have any debate I remember that I was told by a very wise man that calling your opponent names meant that you had lost and are losing your cool. Henrietta was not my opponent. He may just have left because he felt he was owed the starting job and was afraid of the competition. Unlike many I d...

Re: Replay of TT vs. WV

Well brown jeans the fans most popular player on the team is the backup quarter back. What I do know is the kid quit rather than battle for the starting job. As far as how Gary handled things unless one was in the room when the conversation took place a judgement as to how things happened is making ...

Re: On the sports last night psycho looking

Nobody was more opposed to playing college football this fall than Gary. And it had nothing to do with COVID. What did it have to do with? In my opinion? I think he knew this team wasn't ready. I think he knew that they wouldn't be in a position to win many games and that it would reflect poorly on...

Well my take on his is that Henrietta Colombi thought he was owed the starting job, and when a transfer was brought he believed he was wronged so he quit and walked on at Texas Tech. Quite frankly I do not give a damn what he does, for what ever reason he did not think he would start so he left, th...

If it is ok to rant about the anemic play calling let me say that the tight ends did not block that well they ran the wrong route on a critical 3rd down play, we need Carson back asap.

Re: End the Shelley experiment

To give some perspective. Jordan Love's first real game experience was against WYO in 2017. Love finished 8/18 for 108 yards and 3 interceptions. I am certainly not comparing Shelley to Love and not saying that Shelley is going to be an all league performer. All I am saying is he needs some time. I...

Re: QB, Talent, Coaching and Circumstances

There is a massive gap between the two programs, it is not even close, we beat them in one area we spend more school funds on athletics than what they do. Does anyone here believe that a coach on the level of Chris Petersen would stay at USU if he won the same number of games? It is a much easier pl...

It is expected when you lose to blame the Q.B., then the head coach then the coordinator, and I fully understand that. Keep in mind that when I said opening with BSU was the worst thing that could happen, some folks on here disagreed with me, you where as wrong as you could be, put aside the bad day...

Re: An attendance goal for future seasons

Goal should be 25,513 for starters. If we can fill the house, maybe we can get it expanded to 35K some day. If we can average over 24,000 in back to back years the stadium will be expanded on the following year, that you can take to the bank. however the expansion will be to just a little over 30,5...

Rather than BSU I would prefer watching a game at University of Washington, Oregon, Utah, YBU, Stanford, if I had only western venues to choose from.

As far as BSU goes been there many time done that do not care for it all that much, but to each his own..

Re: Reasons For Optimism

What I like the best on Offense is dumping that sprint down the field. I like having a possession receiver that is 6'6" tall. I thought we were horrible inside the red zone so experience in the O line and different play calling should help. Defense is still a question mark for me, but I do like havi...

Of course we will try to run the ball much more than last season. That hurry up offense will be long gone which will make the D. Coordinators happy. We also have a 6'6" receiver which help out the passing game.

Re: Boise vs USU

One of the stronger areas will be the O line, we are breaking in a new offensive scheme with a new O coordinator so I do not know. We do have P-5 experience at both Q.B. and running back. As far a defense goes on the line we have 2 experience ends one a starter from last season and the other a grad ...

First thought was we win maybe 3-4 games but after analyzing every game I feel more confident in our chances to win 5 or 6. Four of our opponents are breaking in new coaches. AF will be short handed, NM is bad, and UNR is unpredictable. BSU (L) - We aren't there yet. Maybe next year at home we take...

I understand the love of the game and all but if I was to advise a kid that had his degree, perhaps it is time to move on. A good time to hang them is if they have completed the degree be it a BS or MBA,, and have not had a serous injury yet so no reason to risk that. The only smart reason to stay is if another season might make you a NFL prospect.

I think we split BYU and St. Mary's. Classically, those are very competitive games, and they're early in the season, which means we're still figuring out who replaces Sam, and how. I do not think Sam will be replaced, he was the heart and soul of that team, if you watch the MWC championship games h...
