Regardless of all if this, my uneducated hope at this point is for Leipold, Holtz, or Hill. I'd be happy with any of them.
In that order? I may prefer the order to be Leipold, Hill, and then Holtz.

Re: Coaching Candidates

If we want to compete in 2021 we are going to have to dive deep into the transfer portal. I expect to improve in 2021, but not compete (read, go to a bowl game). My expectation won't change even if we have the best recruiting class ever. I mean, how many new players do we think will see significant...

Re: New Poll

Leipold would be a big meh hire. 2020: 4-0 this year and his opponents combined record is 5-11. 2019: lost to 3 pretty "meh" teams in Liberty, Miami Ohio, and Kent State (Kent State team we lost to) 2018: Did beat a Big 10 team in Rutgers, but got killed by Ohio again. Just pretty "meh" overall man...

Wasn't Yost a HC in the past? And didn't he go back to coordinator to not have the pressures of a HC?

I remember hearing about this while he was a coordinator here. If so, did something change?
Yes, that is correct.

Everyone needs to give Isaac a pass on this one. Sounds like the only thing he got wrong is Harrell being a self-serving douchebag. ShowMe - I absoultely agree, grab the best HC available for your situation. I think it shouldn't matter whether their background is in offense or defense, both are very important parts of the game.

ViAggie I think it’s a west coaster as well!! As long as Texas Tech doesn’t take this one too. Graham Harrell it is then? Harrell is making $1.2 million/year at USC. No way we can beat that, right? Lance Anderson is on the West coast True but Hartwell is infatuated with offense over defense so it's...

Re: So who do you hope it is?

How fair/valuable is it to judge Maile as a HC via the rest of season when he was thrown a complete disaster in the middle of the season? There's only so much you can do for a college fball team as a HC in a week or two's time... especially during the COVID era.

It’s one thing to recruit to Auburn and FSU, it’s another thing to recruit to USU. It reminds me of how MW was promoted to OC and then HC 1 year later. Too much too soon too fast. Yeah, the multiple years of sustained success we had with Matt Wells (with one outlier year) sure sucked. https:/...

I am trying to figure out how their uvu guard transfer is allowed at BYU with his long hair. Did they get rid of that rule down there?
If I remember right, the main enforcement of the hair rules comes from the testing center. They won’t let you take your test unless you follow the hair code.

I'm not taking any win with a grain of salt this year. UNM was a TD favorite in this game. They have been a better team than us previously this year. I firmly believe this is the start of better play for the rest of the year on both sides of the ball. Wins? I don't know. I can handle a loss when we...
