Re: My hopes for UNLV improving to a Q2 dashed
I agree, the loss to Vegas was a bad loss. Meh. Yes, the UNLV loss was a bad one (Q3 loss) but one that will be meaningless unless USU drops another game to an also-ran (Wyoming, Fresno or UNR). That most certainly could happen, so there’s no room for error. The UNLV loss is even meaningless as to ...

It’s a great idea provided your team is one of the 4 invited teams.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑February 1st, 2021, 11:14 pmWe had this debate last week. Many won't agree with you, but I will. For this one year, 4 teams is fine with me.

Re: My hopes for UNLV improving to a Q2 dashed
If history is any guide USU will sweep..Nevada is in a bit of a rebuild and rarely wins in Logan even with good teams... My point was some here were shocked by the outcome calling a loss to Nevada an embarrassment. The margin was surprising but not the win. You have a good team and I respect what y...

You guys had a clunker against Vegas and lost a close game on the road..It happens..However, I am not at all impressed with UNLV. Nevada has lost 5 conference games, 4 on the road, by a total of 21 points..Vegas lost to a team picked near the bottom of the conference by 29 points.. Nevada did shoot...

Re: Sdsu is angry
SDS is bludgeoning every team it plays — especially Wyoming. 3-point shooting? 48%. FG%? 61% Rebounding? 35 to 20. FT %? 86% only 8 TO and an A:TO ratio of almost three. You couldn’t ask for a better stat line than that. They are going to be a load in the MWC tourney. I would welcome the Aztecs to h...

We are now beyond having played half of our conference schedule. Here are the grades I think the major contributors (9 deep) have earned so far. My grades are based on the expectations going into the season versus what they have actually delivered thus far. Queta: A- Neemias has pretty much done eve...

Re: Bean & Queta Scoring #'s
Bean taking 3’s takes him out of the picture of what he does best — get offensive rebounds. We have a few serviceable 3-point shooters — Miller, Anderson, Ashworth and even Anthony. Although I am perplexed as to why Anthony can hit 40% of his threes het only 63% of his FTs — barely better than Queta...

We find ourselves rooting for BSU to beat CSU tomorrow and then for BAU to lose both games to SDS. Then we need to at least split with BSU. A 4-way tie with 3 losses gives us the edge. If BSU loses again to CSU then we would either need to sweep BSU or hope for another CSU loss. Losing to anyone out...

For a team of players that some said were all “elite defenders” we have sure done a p-poor job the last game and one-half defending the 3-point line.

Napolean may or may not have said the following: “God is on the side of the army with the best artillery.” Sight unseen, and everything else being equal, I have found it to better to bet on the team that is 2-0 when it is playing another team for the third time. What the Aggies now need to do
The Aggies would have likely controlled its own destiny had they won last night against CSU. Now there’s little room for error. Likely 3 losses ties for or takes the regular season championship outright. That means the Aggies must at least split with BSU, and have CSU do the same while SDS sweeps th...

I think that Miller is a good defender, one of the best on the team. Probably why we haven't seen any of the Euros playing. Defense is instinct and hustle. He has both. He's growing a player. Meh. The stats I noted were through Friday’s games. Ken Palm’s rankings are through Saturday’s games — which likely explains the difference between the NCAA’s #11 defensive ranking for the Aggies and Ken Palm’s #7 defensive ranking. Let’s just agree that USU’s defense is legit and simply leave it at...

I just watched the replay of the game. As we know Queta and Miller were the heroes. Brock is playing well. He is taking good shots. He is also playing really good defense, i am happy for him. You are watching a different Miller than I am. Brock’s lateral speed is terrible. He can’t seem to keep in front of his man. Queta erases some of Brock’s defensive mistakes. His 3-pont shooti...
