Re: Can Love be replaced?

Yes, he can be replaced and we will move on. He's a great talent but did not have a great year in 2019; this is not meant as a debate whether another qb would have been more productive because I don't think they would have. We survived after Chuckie Keeton, Anthony Calvillo (all-time passing leader ...

Rebounding is so much more than size and length. Instinct and pure want and Bean has that in spades over taller, longer forwards.

Looks like he let everyone run with the idea that he was finishing up just so he could start that last home game. Genius. Classic Groot move. In all seriousness the guy was a great, supportive teammate when many would have pouted. I hope he finds a good landing spot where he can play out his senior...

Love it but think Anthony Calvillo's 5 td/472 yards passing against BYU in 1993 for the win deserved a spot somewhere.

Great work!

Re: The VERY last play of the MWCT

On the contrary, if I’m Dutcher I would’ve thrown the ball in to half court and taken a timeout. Would’ve given them 2 seconds to draw up a play from half court to potentially get a much better look. The timeout doesn’t advance it like in the NBA, but I’ve never understood why more college coaches ...

Re: The VERY last play of the MWCT

Watch Flynn's shot again. He takes three steps setting it up. He traveled. He takes a step and then he takes two more steps to set his feet to shoot. The shot shouldn't have counted even if it went in. And yes - they should never be able to pass a ball half the court down without an defender somewh...

The VERY last play of the MWCT

After Sam's shot. Monday morning quarterbacking I know, but I absolutely hate it when teams don't guard the player inbounding the ball, especially when they have to go the length of the court. I always remember Coach K. of Duke basically saying he was relieved when Kentucky/Rick Pitino decided not t...

Please bring back Kevin Harlan. I don't know if it was Thompson but whoever landed him last year should get major props. The two clowns this year spent more time gushing over Flynn's missed shot than on Sam's game winner. I don't know, I thought the ex-Villanova coach (can't remember his name) had ...

While I agree that Casdon would be a nice addition to the team, I agree with the point that for the limited 1-2 spots we have left we are aiming higher. And we also definitely need some ball handling/speed. With regards to Miller vs. Jardine, they're totally different players. I think Miller is qui...

They may as well keep Carr then. Mariota is not a better QB. Is Carr's contract coming due? Signing Mariota could just be a negotiating tool. They have to see he isn't better than Carr. As an SDSU fan, i'm not even worried since we basically retain the same roster (Flynn/Mitchell/Schackel). The chances of Flynn declaring for the NBA draft is non-existent at this poitn. Sucks for Sam Merrill, he had a monster game against the team that finished #1 in the conference. Maybe his final...

Miller's role against SDSU was appropriate. A 1-6 performance from three point range would have shot us out of the game. He hustles and isn't lazy. As long as he doesn't get off the bus shooting 3's I'm happy.

We need at least our best six in my opinion. I don't know if we beat SDSU without Porter being available at the point to take the additional stress off of Merrill. I don't mean this as a knock on Dutcher, I'm sure he's a great coach, but the contrast between Dutcher and Smith on those courtside interviews was pretty stark. We couldn't ask for a better ambassador for our program than Coach Smith. His banter with the sideline reporter for

THe NBA usually doesn't favor unathletic undersized shooting guards.
You don't score over 2,000 points in your career by being streaky.
