Re: Boise fighting the MWC

How is Boise's claim even ripe? The conference has agreed to pay the extra money for the term of this tv agreement. I could see the lawsuit failing for lack of any current damages or as attorneys say ripeness. What say ye 78 and other attorneys on the board?

Porter put the back belt stimulator on when he went to the bench and it stayed on him for the rest of the game. The fall must have jacked his back up to where he couldn't play.

Re: On a good note, we will keep Smith for a bit longer

I am very concerned with talent level next year. It appears to me that the teams in the MWC are much improved this year over last year. There seems to be a ton of more athletic players on most of the teams. Even Boise seemed to be much quicker and more athletic than the Aggies. I hope we have the pl...

Re: Bean

Bean has been dealing with a severe high ankle sprain. It affects his ability to jump as well as he has in the past. Once the sprain improves, he'll get his allotment of rebounds whether Queta is in or not.

If Metzinheimer and Munos are the starting middle linebackers, we are in trouble. They struggle with lateral movement and just a step slow.

Re: Hindsight is 20/20: very unwise to schedule national champion on the road

The only problem with it that I saw was that we came away from the game completely beat up. Half of LSU's players have NFL talent compared to 3 or 4 of USU's players. It completely stopped any momentum USU had and turned the season sour. I'm sure it got into some of the players heads to be dominated...

Anyone on here go to the lunch today?

Did Smith disclose anything interesting? The noon lunches have historically had better questions asked than the weekly coaches show.

This is a bit off topic, but did anyone else notice Nevada's uniforms? Particularly their shorts. They were more like gymnastics shorts that basketball being very skin tight on their legs. Looked odd to me. I wonder if this will catch on with other teams. I have noticed that the style pendulum has s...

Re: Player / Team question

The one time Miller pump faked and drove he banked in a layup. Great play. Pump fake step back threes are such a low percentage play that even NBA guys don’t take them often. Bairstow fed the post a lot and had two and one off pump fake drives to the basket. Great plays. Sent from my iPhone using T...

USU was in the talk of an autobid up to today. This game toasted those hopes unless we go on a 14 game win streak.

Re: Where is Kuba and where

Smith's leash is much longer than Stew's. You could see Stew's players looking over their shoulders on certain plays. Stew was very quick to pull a player after a mistake. Smith lets players play through them. Don't see it as a problem at all under this coaching staff.

Both this game and the Washington game, the refs let the play get really physical. Both times USU didn't respond well to the physicality. They got to get tougher that way.

Re: One of the most frustrating games I have ever watched.

I remember going to a luncheon they used to have weekly with Stew. USU had just lost in the same fashion as we did last night. Stew got up to talk about the game and said sometimes there are games that you have to treat like a smelly turd. You just flush them and forget about them. This is one game ...

I'm pretty sure this game is an anomaly. Can't measure future success from this. Define anomaly. I would argue this game was very predictable. Not this game in particular- but that this would eventually happen. There were quite a few games where we would win, but we had long stretches of playing li...
