Re: 12 team MWC best hope for USU?

Why would UTEP come at this point? The new mwc is basically the old wac that Utep left on purpose for conf. usa. Adding USU makes a ton of sense. IF you look at a map of the mwc there is a big hole in the tv map (Utah)right in the middle of the conference. USU may be the third choice, but it still b...

Just read this post off of the byu board. If this guy really knows anything it could be good new for USU.

Re: Benson is such a hapless twit!

I agree with your statement dyedblue but, Albrect also should have had the binding document reviewed to see if it was full of holes before he risked the University's entire athletic future on it. He may go down as the President who put the final screw to USU athletics instead of the one who rescued ...

So what should USU do now?

1. Sit tight and trust Karl Benson to lead the WAC to the promised land. 2. Lobby the Sunbelt to let them back in. 3. Go independent. 4. Hope like He11 that byu is still working to form a new conference. 5. Keep begging the mwc for an invite. None of these options seem very realistic. USU's athletic...

Do you remember the Sunbelt? In the words of Yogi Berra it's deja vu all over again. Poor Aggies can never get a break.

If Hawaii gets invited and USU is left in the DII wac then Albrect is looking more and more like a fool to me. Why he did not even entertain some conversation with the mwc is beyond me.

Wasatch, I think it is a little of both. I think the Aggies could be pretty good this year and I think byu is not as good as they are made out to be. They are a one man team and when he leaves after this year they will drop off a ton.

When you look at that clip you realize that there should have been a call on collinsworth, prior to Wesley getting the ball, for shoving Brady in the back going for the rebound. There was some poor officiating going on all night.

Most if not all of Air Force's non-football team sports are poor and for the most part their football has been average at best the past few years. Sometimes I wonder why they were brought to the mwc when it started up.

Not sure why you guys are saying Brian Green did not serve a mission because that is not true. If you recall his recruiting, Stew got a committment from him prior to him leaving on a mission. Two years later, being 2009, he has completed his mission and on the basketball team.

So Sizzle, you don't think USU gathers any of the SLC market? Because I think they do and it will increase as the football program improves. I don't understand USU fans that want to sell the USU market short limiting it to just Cache Valley.

If the tickets were handed out evenly between the schools, then byu didn't sell any more than USU. I remember USU selling all the tickets that they had. The way they set up the area it looked even. Don't believe a thing you hear from Jay Drew he's an extreme byu homer.

Football scheduling

Several of the WAC teams we have played this year have had two weeks to prepare for the Aggies. I'm not quite sure how that works. It seems like each team should have the same amount. OTOH, we get Idaho at home the week after bsjc pounds them in the quanset hut. I think there is a good chance that i...

It used to be WAC > MAC or Sunbelt. Now it is WAC = MAC or Sunbelt. This makes me real excited, look how much publicity and excitment the MAC or Sunbelt garners. Re: Listen live to WAC teleconference

I have to say that I less than enthused by this addition. Football cannot be near as good with bsu, fsu and nev being replaced by the two Texas schools. Basketball looks to be way down also. This still makes me wonder if Albrect should have at least entertained some discussion with the mwc. That's w...
