Re: Being where we are at right now

College football is my favorite but I’m having a very hard time getting into it this year - we suck, BYU is winning and the Pac12 hasn’t been playing. I thought I could just pick Clemson as my next team to watch but they blow everyone out and it’s boring too. I have watched more NFL this year than ...

Re: I got to hand it to BYU.

That's a really good team. I know their schedule was weak, but this team could hang with even really good teams. This Boise State game, I know they're down to their third string quarterback, but what Zach Wilson's doing to Boise State's defense, I don't know if it would have mattered if their good ...

Re: Gary Fired!!!?!?!!

I'm guessing based on the way this played out that there isn't a buy out changing hands. I'd wager this is very similar to the Oregon State situation. This is the real life equipment to rage quitting in Madden by pulling the plug on the PlayStation.

He is awesome. I know some people think he's aloof, but he is doing right by our program day in and day out. He cleaned up a financial mess left by Barnes, he's made good to great hires when he's been given the final decision, and he's keeping the ship afloat during an extremely tumultuous time. We ...

Hearing it was more Gary leaving than being fired but it’ll be a short drive up I-15 for our next coach You can drive up and down I-15 all day and not find Utah State. Your pedantry is noted though finding Logan would still require a short drive up I-15 Not to belabor this but isn't Harrison High a...

The bet I made that indicates this team sucks

With the Aggies down 14-9, I made a bet, with 8-1 odds, that USU wouldn’t score again. The folks I was with thought I was crazy.

This team sucks. I won.

I only had limited interaction with Barnes and have had none with Hartwell. I do think it is fair to state that Barnes did a lot of good for USU. He did, but did so at the expense of letting a lot of the insides rot. Since people like to compare athletics to the front porch of the university, I lik...

He certainly is not as charismatic as Barnes was, but behind the scenes good things are happening. USU is a very challenging job and I think he's doing good work. He's not the liar and self-promoter that Barnes was. Barnes left a lot of internal rot in this program, Hartwell has rebuilt the insides...

Ivy League, which as you know is a league of inferior minds, has cancelled all sports through at least January.

I remember commenting after that game that the experience of being down big and coming back to beat a top tier team would impact the team later in the season when they'd be down to a "better" opponent and would need to come back. I truly believe that being able to call back to this experience was a ...

When UT Arlington was in our conference, or maybe it was until the year before they joined, they played in a theater, Texas Hall. You could either sit in the theater seats or they set up bleachers backstage.
