I'm sure we could land Diamond Rio.

The only thing I can definitively say about Lew Evans is that he has one of the most line-drive foul pitches I've ever witnessed in person.

You're all assuming that Stutzman is our #1 guy remaining at that positions that we've offered I'm not assuming that. I'm just hoping we get someone - and he seems as good as any others we could land at this point, and also seems like one we should be able to land. So who's our #1 remaining guy at ...

Just show him video clips of the arenas and crowds at MWC venues vs WAC venues. Or the MW tournament vs. the WAC tournament. Or clips of the Spectrum at its finest vs UVU's arena. Anyone who loves to play basketball would have to choose USU. Competition level way higher, way more big time.

You'd think that our staff could easily show him why playing the the MWC on ESPN and CBS Sports regularly, and against programs like UNLV, New Mexico, SDSU, Boise State, Fresno St., CSU, Reno, etc. is far superior to playing occasionally on NMSU Aggie TV in a league against the likes of Bakersfield,...

What is so appealing about UVU? It's not known as a good school academically and plays in a piss poor conference. Is it just the proximity to BYU that draws people? Mark Pope has been a fantastic hire for them as a coach. He played for a National Championship team at Kentucky and also played in the...

Speaking of Washington State.... I wouldn't mind if we went after their C that was just released for transfer a day ago. Guy is tough inside and a shot blocker. I watched parts of their final two games. Impressed with how into the game Musselman gets - he is an intense competitor! I think you need a coach to be fired up like that. it rubs off on the players. Coaches also need to work the refs. Stew was one of the best at that in his prime. Steve Fischer sti...

Reyes seems like a solid Brennan Ray-type player who will hustle, get rebounds, take charges, mix things up, and generally raise the intensity level and do all the dirty work. But with more size than B-Ray had. I think he'd be a great one-year player and the good news is that since he is graduating ...

Beard hire is better than Menzies probably, but it still isn't very good IMO. Beard inherited a pretty good team, and really only had 1 year of success as a HC. Plus Little Rock wasn't too great offensively this year, and the UNLV fans want to run and gun, score points, etc. It's amazing that UNLV ...

Why would the Zags join a conference with San Jose St. and Air Force? Granted the remaining teams seem to be stepping up, but we do have our own constant bottom dwellers. 50% (5 teams) of the WCC is below 200 in the RPI. We have 2. That's a big difference. Plus, Air Force has a nice arena as nice a...

I said long ago, when the MW expanded by adding USU, that we should invite Gonzaga - a non-football playing school - to balance out the fact that Hawaii is football only. This would make the MW a 12 team league, and it would also guaranty the BYU drifts even further into irrelevance.

Yeah, with 4 seconds left I think your chances are better of making it and then forcing a turnover, or at worst fouling quickly then you have time to get off a good look at a tying 3 if they make both free throws. I have no problem with this strategy. If only some guys could have made both of their...

That's because by the end of the game every "neutral" fan became a USU fan. There were a ton of New Mexico fans who were very loud in support of USU. The Nevada fans, Fresno fans, and BSU fans around me were also cheering for USU. As the reffing got bad in the final two minutes, those fans became mo...
