Re: Conference re-alignment rumors now in full swing

Bosie whining and threatening to leave never really bothers me, and San Diego State is too far west for the AAC to be a real possibility IMO. Likelier (although still slim) would be for SDSU and UNLV to get an invite to the Pac-12 based on footprint and UNLV's new facilities. This is the reason why...

Re: Conference re-alignment rumors now in full swing

Conference realignments are not basketball driven. They are football driven and, as much as Boise State keeps hoping if they keep talking about it, that it will happen, its not going to go the way they think. What is more likely is the continued shrinking of the P5 to a very small group of elite sch...

Re: Do you think the NCAA new rules about limiting contact in practice will lead to more injuries in games?

To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if football looks a lot different 20 years from now. You are already seeing that fewer kids are playing football. I generally agree. We may see fewer kids playing football here in Utah or say semi-rural California, places like that. But theres too much money in...

Re: Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay

I think in the end the Packers and Rodgers will reach a contractual "impasse" that will give Rodgers a little more of what he wants. Additionally, golfing buddy and former Packers fullback John Kuhn has piped up and said he has spoken with Rodgers and this is what is happening: "If I used my gut and...

Re: Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay

I think there is a lot of people reading into things that have not been said out loud, but have only been "surmised." In the only actual conversation between a media person (Mike Tirico) and Rodgers, Tirico said: "He didn't want to talk on camera. I can tell ya, I characterize Aaron as disappointed ...

What really sealed the deal for Peterson is that Craig Smith offered him a job as his Associate Head Coach at Utah and the process hadn't even begun in Logan yet. Since the job wasn't given to him out of hand, he determined he wasn't going to get it and took the sure thing. Smart man. I don't think ...

As a Packer fan who is closely tied into what is going on in Green Bay, let me tell you that this was a tempest in the teapot coooked up by ESPN to try and get viewership and “clicks” for the NFL Draft coverage. IT NEVER WAS A STORY, and Packer ESPN reporter Rob Demovsky pretty much admitted that hi...

If you listened to Anderson's interview after the scrimmage, he said there will be other additions to the roster. You can count on more transfers this summer. And they will be transfers eligible to come in and play immediately.

You earn the right to start-- you don't get a "chance" to start. That is only in Junior Jazz. Dorius can do some nice things. It reminded me of the time Spence Nelson laid the ball in over the top of Rafael Ararujo from BYU to win a game in Logan at the buzzer, only moments after Ararujo had given him a hernia exam in the court.

The problem I see with our current roster, as constructed, is it was Queta and a whole bunch of role players. I do think Bean will flourish with a little more room to maneuver in the middle. He's definitely a 15 feet-in type of player, and showed that he can be very good doing that on many occasions...

Bairstow is that guy is seems amazingly talented, but just has not been able to make it work here thus far.
