Re: NAR: Addazio inks $1.5M/5-yr deal @ CSU

CSU seems like the perfect springboard job to a P5 school for an ambitious young coordinator or fcs coach. Not sure why they hire retreads or middling coordinators like Bobo.

Glad they didn’t pursue Jay Hill or offer Aranda.

Re: Beehive Classic Games

If we are going to play in Salt Lake it should be against a consistent tournament type program from out-of-state. If it is done in conjunction with BYU, great, i.e. USU v. Gonzaga and BYU v. Washington, etc. but watching USU and BYU or Utah at a neutral site is lame. I have kicked around the idea wi...

Re: Unscientific poll on where Aggies live

I am a Davis county person. I have 2 club season tickets and bring my 4 year-old son to games.

I too am curious particularly how many Wasatch Front Aggies go to games but do not have season tickets.

Re: Temperature based pricing.

Temperature based pricing is a pretty good gimmick for golf courses when 18 and a cart is usually $40-50 and the low temp might cut that cost in half late in the season. Not sure it works in this context. It is somewhat clever but this seems like a 5-10% discount at most. Do the high temp that day g...

And BTW we have a DC on staff better than Orlando. He just happens to be coaching the TE's right now. No we don't. He might be better than our current DC, but he is definitely not better than Orlando. Last year's defensive success was because of Patterson. When I saw how conservative Maile would ca...

Re: Rooting for the Utes to make CFP?

I want Utah to go far because I believe it will hurt BYU. The rise of Utah and Utah State hurts BYU, so I am all for it. I think I agree with this line of thinking. The better and more prominent Utah is as a program, the more they might feel compelled to recruit out of Utah or to ignore the second ...

This is a pipe dream. He came here after he was fired at UConn, and no one else wanted him he had zero other offers. He was very vocal about the fact he wanted to be on the East Coast. I'm sure he's going to try and get on at Rutgers or South Florida or someplace like that. I'm not saying I wouldn'...

Up 65-61 with 4:25 left and blew it from there.

Losing guys on defense, bad shots and turnovers on offense. Anderson wasn’t able to take pressure off Sam.

Again, why in the world did they keep going under the screen?? The guy was on fire and we just kept going under the screen. Agreed. The one where Anderson got switched and went under a screen when Ford didn’t have the ball was maddening. The screeners defender is already there. Terrible recognition...

Anderson looked totally out of it in a different role

We don’t have a real elite perimeter defender. Guys that can get to their spot with the ball have hurt us a few times this year.

Porter needs to be a lot better. I’d rather see Bairstow out there right now and shift guys around.

Yep especially at the wings.

Seems like we had some teams with 6’2” or 6’3” wings that would simply have no chance against teams with length.

Now we can trot out a lineup where our shortest guy is 6’5”

I’m not convinced it’s the exact same scheme The route combos look a lot different and our run game is not as varied. A lot looks the same but there’s some critical differences If trying to conform to last years offense has been our problem then they’ve had all year and multiple bye weeks to impleme...

Uncertainty about Love's status coupled with our poor performances against BYU and AFA is probably adding to the usual pessimism before we play Boise.

I think we have a pretty good chance if our defense plays well and we win the turnover battle.

Odd article. There isn't really anything of substance in it. Basically, Love didn't finish the Wyoming game so he won't play against Boise and then some discussion about Colombi.

I don't expect Love to play but this article isn't why.

The real question for me was why with 9 seconds left and a new set of downs thanks to the leveraging penalty, plus an extra 15 yards closer to the goal line, did we not try one more pass at the end zone. Seemed like we were in a good groove with the pass game during that stretch as well. Never take...
