Re: 2020 WEEKLY PICK'EM - (Friday 9/11 Deadline)

There are times when darkness seems to prevail and hope is diminished to the point that one may struggle to even get out of bed. During these dark times, we may be blessed with true heroes who rise to the challenge to restore hope and fight back the darkness. Their efforts bring joy to the masses. T...

I was Clear Bag Patrol. I'd like to play again this year, whatever the NFL season looks like.

Interesting that there hasn't been as much discussion about the clear bag policy this summer compared to last summer. :headscratch:

I'm contacting Phil now to demand he issues a full correction and apology!!!

Now I find out Peasley actually has 10 career attempts. He threw 8 times against San Jose in 2018. I'm done with Phil Steele forever!

Re: Phil Steele 2020 USU Preview

The QB ranking is due to inexperience, the other MW teams (with the exception of SDSU) have more experienced starters and backups. Columbi has 29 career pass attempts and no other QBs have any pass attempts. His analysis was all before Shelley transferred in. Air Force's QB room could also take a st...

Phil also puts together a Top 40 (plus a few), which builds upon his computer rankings and takes into account each team schedule and how he expects each team to finish. This year his top 40 goes to 61(basically, he predicts all these teams to be bowl eligible). Here are the teams we were scheduled t...

Below is a PDF of the Utah State page from Phil Steele's 2020 College Football Preview Magazine. He sees our ceiling as 6 wins. Of course, we still don't really know what the season will look like and his research was before we brought in Shelly and DHC. Hopefully, we will get a chance to play as ma...

I've heard that we are trying to take a one year break to move our home game with BYU to even years...so we don't have both Boise State and BYU as home games in the same season. As those games have a higher likelihood of selling out, this would even out some of the revenue between seasons. BYU's res...

They have had a big loss of advertising dollars...having no live Jazz games to broadcast would have that effect. It forced them to cut several staff members. Currently visits aren't allowed. I know the staff has put together a "virtual visit"...hopefully we have some players taking us up on that.

Non-D1 games: We know you like watching your team win by 50 points. It's fun but NET doesn't care about these games.
