Re: Return Missionary Watch

Well, I was only speaking for myself, as always, and how I view things. But I always view recruiting that way. I'm always excited for signings, but it's all in the proving after that! I'm just praying we get to have a season to watch this year!

I'm grateful you have percieved me to be positive!

Re: Return Missionary Watch

I don't know that I would call any player a steal until after they perform on the field. Hopefully all of our guys are steals!

Re: Women's Hoops

Here is the problem. No one really cares who the coach is and how the team does. I wish the women’s team a success simply because it represents USU. Although I’m an avid Aggie men’s basketball and football fan and devoted to my alma mater I’ve never watched a women’s game and only occasionally look...

Or they just have high hopes for him.

I don't feel that Neemi is ready for the NBA. He still needs a lot of development.

Re: Dallin Hall - Fremont

Good buddy of mine, an Aggie, watched in shame as his daughter marched off to BYU last fall for school. With pride, he watched her transfer after 1 semester. Sadly, she chose UVU, but mostly for the major. My son is getting married in May to a cute Aggie girl. She, hailing from the Boise area, chose...

The Aussie is a master at the rollout punt. He has accuracy and 50 yards is no problem on the rollout. Kicking to the corner to trap the offense deep in their own end. Impressive stuff.

Re: Other than the game winner, what was your favorite moment?

I loved the last 24 minutes of the game. But Alphonso's 3s, when we were down by 7 with the momentum shifting...he came off the bench and immediately buried them. That was so huge.

That was just a huge, gutsy shot, even before the final shot. Burying that off the hop...beautiful.

USU is the only MWC Tournament repeat champion in the last 7 years. Not sure what SDSU is expecting every year when they've won it once in that span of time.

Re: Neutral Football Games

Weber actually seats 7,000 more than Dixie (17,500 vs. 10,500). But the east stands are a great improvement to Dixie's facility. If they find any success by moving up, they could easily expand to end-zone seating. SUU only seats 8,500, so Dixie passed them already.

A whole mess of us travel to Logan for games now. But I'd rather driver further to watch a game in Logan anyday over SLC. But if we got good opponents with a neutral site, I'd attend for sure.

I don't think I'll ever get used to the change in the university. Utah State University just sounds better than the University of Utah State. I guess I'll adapt, but I'll always favor USU over UUS.

Re: These are college kids, so take it easy.

Definitely a strategy...most teams do this when they are way ahead...I don't like it. I think it gets the team out of their rhythm. I just don't believe that when the coaches implement that strategy that they verbally tell the players to stop playing. Doesn't seem at all realistic to me.
