Re: Legas…gone
The terrible thing about BA is that--considering the way he is treated by this fan base--he will leave once he does have another really good season. Some act like Matt Wells was the man. Year to year comparison: Year Wells BA 1st 9-5 11-3 2nd 10-4 6-7 3rd 6-7 6-7 4th 3-9 6-7? 5th 6-7 10-4? 6th 10-2 ...

Re: NIL and foreign players
Since this has been discussed a lot in threads about Osobor, I thought I would make a separate thread about this. My wife is an immigration lawyer, so I asked her about this. The short answer is that student athletes on F visas (far and away the most common type of student visa) are generally not a...

Re: Contract
I'd be very concerned if it was more than 1.1M. Should be about the same as Sprinkle got initially. The only reason the 2M figure was thrown around was because we were trying to retain a coach who had just proven his worth.

Re: Bosie's Seeding after winning MWT
Sometimes winning the tournament just confirms what people assumed would happen. With this team and this conference, winning the tournament is not at all a sure thing. If anything, most are expecting we DON'T win even though we're the season champs, with claims that we had an easier schedule. So yes...

Re: Net Ranking flaws
The original NET rankings were not as affected by scoring margins, so there was some kind of cap. Yes the original formula capped RUTS at 10. Not sure why it was changed. The cap wasn’t removed, scoring margin was eliminated completely. It doesn’t look at scoring margin. The RUTS effect comes from ...

Re: #17 Colorado State lost
Hm... Boise was bound to mess things up at some point, but that was earlier than expected. Maybe things shake out well enough that CSU remains Q1 and Boise then also becomes Q1, but it's tough to have 6 or 7 teams all high enough to possibly be Q1.

Re: The AP Poll has become a joke
I expect 5 teams to drop off the AP after losses with 7 teams getting votes buying for those 5 shots after winning today. I think we come in right after those teams at 28th, but that's pending the 3 vote-getters who play tomorrow. If they all win we could be as low as 31st. I could also see us leap ...

Nate Dreiling has the highest ceiling of the group since he comes off having success at New Mexico State. Before Dreiling, New Mexico State in 2021gave up 40.4 points and 486.8 yards per game Dreiling has been the New Mexico State DC since after the 2021 season. 2022 24.3 points and 339.5 yards all...

We have not yet figured out how to get osobor points when doubled or how to make up the difference with other players when that happens - Osobor passing to open man. Unless we do that it could be a long conference season to say nothing of poor outside shooting. I think he has improved the last 2 ga...

I hope we play a lot of Templin next week against East Tennesse State. I am really hoping Burris gets things fumigated out. He has a history of shooting well from 3, is big, strong and athletic. We could really use him out there but he doesn’t know where to be yet. Needs to get it figured out. Sakh...

I for one appreciate what both Smith and Odom were able to do in returning us to a winning culture. Neither were perfect and I wasn't particularly happy when either of them left. That said, I recognize it's the nature of being a successful mid major program. Here's to hoping Sprinkle keeps us winnin...

If the defense got their act together, this team on paper could go to the CFP next year. There is just no way that the twins will use their PAC money to buy out MW level teams. They conference still has liabilities and you don't just reduce your media budget from 30 million to 0 and start paying buyout fees. Also, who says Gloria caved? We have no word what happened in the negotiation,...

I remember very well how lucky we were that season. Which is why I struggle accepting that Blake is the right coach. Great person but middle of the pack coach who's strengths and weaknesses are very well defined and consistent. I want it to work out, but I'm not one that assumes it will simply becau...

There was so much angst about this it made me watch USU vs CSU last night (switching back and forth with Wyoming game - Peasley looked great BTW). Watched on 'Stadium' network in DFW Texas. So KJZZ broadcast can be bigger than little old Utah ... even if the commentary wouldn't be understood by man...
