Re: Miller 1st half: 0-5 fg, 0-4 3pt

Alright I sorted my data better. Comparing Brock just to MWC players playing 25+ minutes (49 players qualify using this metric): The Good: 9th best in turnover % (abel is 3rd worst and queta is 6th worst) 17th best in defensive rating (bean 2nd, queta 5, brito 6, sam 9, porter 12) 15th best in defe...

Re: Miller 1st half: 0-5 fg, 0-4 3pt

Plain and simple, Miller has been a poor shooter during conference play. I would roughly credit him with three good games in conference. Two of those were losses @AFA and @SDSU. The win was @WYO. Based on my calculations he is shooting 28.7% from the field. Inside the 3 point line he is shooting 40...

Re: Miller 1st half: 0-5 fg, 0-4 3pt

Smith played Ainge last year far too long when it was clear he needed to come off the bench/play less. Miller is struggling shooting the rock and just in general offensively. A change of pace (not starting) could be just what he needs to shoot better.

Re: Of course this will change, but as of this morning...

as of today, BSU, UNLV and CSU are all 9-6. BSU is 1-0 v. CSU and 1-0 v. UNLV, which is 1-1 v. CSU. Aggregate BSU 2-0, UNLV 1-2, CSU 1-2, which gives BSU the #4 and puts the other two in the two-team tiebreak rules. UNLV and CSU are both currently 0-1 v. #1 SDSU, so the tie is broken by UNLV's win ...

Re: Of course this will change, but as of this morning...

According to the MW website, I have UNLV and not CSU in our side of the bracket. Here's what it looks like for me:
Nevada (3)
UNLV (6)
UNM (7)
SJSU (10)
WYO (11)

Re: Our NCAA Tourney struggles

USU has made the tourney an awful lot with limited success. Some over at the MW board have posited it is due to our lack of athleticism. We have wins over two fairly athletic teams this year: LSU and Florida. What are the reasons we can't seem to win tourney games consistently? Who on our team lack...

Our seeding has always been double digits, with the exception of last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk True. I was in denial of this when Stew was coach, but his scheduling strategy really hurt our chances at success. Some of those teams between 07-2011 could have won a game or two in the t...

I think Kuba was very average against CSU (which we will take for a backup), but tonight he was terrible. He is soft and doesn't know how to play team D. Bairstow was good tonight. That all said, it was a good win. Brito is playing really well. You would rather have Dorius? No thanks. Kuba has pret...

And the difference between SDS and USU? We led BSU by 18 points with 4 minutes left and lost. SDS led BSU by 13 with 4 minutes left and their lead swelled to 22 with 1 minute left and they glided in. SDSU has been playing very very well in the second halves of games lately. I would like us to get t...

NAR: SDSU blows out Boise at home

SDSU looked really good in Boise today. The L for Boise puts them all the way back to 5th. As a side note, the refs let them play as they have let USU and their opponents play the last few games. I wonder if it's a deliberate move by the conference to get the teams used to how tourney refs will call...

Sounds like a star WR for Utah, Solomon Enis, is transferring. He’s retweeted Siaosi’s tweets about his increased production since transferring. You think SDSU beats us by 20 at home without a full Queta? Even without Queta I don't see us getting blown out in front of a sell-out crowd.

Re: PFF Mock Draft: Love goes to Patriots #27

I don’t think Brady has another year in him. The age decline has hit him hard this year and if he does stay Love might see playing time next year depending upon where he is in depth chart. I really hope Love gets a year or two develop. I think he would benefit from a year learning in an NFL system ...

https://www.pff.com/news/draft-pff-2020-nfl-mock-draft-chase-young-lands-in-washington-with-the-second-pick As much as I loathe the Patriots, you can't argue with how they develop QBs. Re: Who makes an NFL 53 man roster?

Two or three kickers get drafted every year. Dom Eberle should absolutely be one of those guys. Career stats at USU 167/167 extra points 24/27 FG < 30 17/19 FG 30-39 19/28 FG 40-49 4/7 FG > 50 Eberle has been an amazing kicker for us. I hope he gets a shot in the NFL. But the fact that former Ute k...

My predictions SDSU 80 USU 66 Won't really be a blowout because it's a home game for the Aggies. For my money, from this team: Draftees: Jordan Love (Rounds 1-3) Tipa Galeai (rounds 5-7) David Woodward (1-2 round talent goes rounds 5-7 due to injury concerns) Wildcard: Dominik Eberle (UDFA) Mariner and Repp will also sign contracts but not make rosters I think Love, Woodward and Galeai all get ...

Let me say that for me the jury is still out on some coach's. The secondary tackling was just bad, and that must be addressed, it was in part do to a lack of toughness, that must change. Last night wasn't the outcome any of us wanted or the one that many expected. It's easy to get carried away after a win or a loss in shining a light on the good and bad.
