Re: So let me get this straight....

Most students on campus will be attending remote classes. Most only have 1 in-person class, if that. It really is the same challenge for schools at all levels. At least college students can be treated as responsible for any dumb decisions they make. My 7 year old may make the same (well not quite, b...

Re: Players Opting Out (Allegedly)

Got it. Difference between the case fatality rate and the infection fatality rate is different. The estimate is a moving target and .26% is not a week accepted or agreed on estimate. Not as high as the case rate would suggest, but the other is a lowball estimate. I will still follow Dr recommendatio...

Re: Players Opting Out (Allegedly)

This is so overblown it is driving me crazy, the survival rate is just under 99% and if you throw in this age group it is even higher. This is a flu virus, is this going to be the norm going forward? Each player can decide if they want to play, and if there is a season, and they don't play they los...

Re: Players Opting Out (Allegedly)

Unpopular opinion: many people have paid way too much attention to media hysteria and way too little attention to the actual data when making COVID-19 decisions. I would have agreed with you, up until I tested positive. Luckily I don’t have any symptoms, but I can tell you this thing spreads fast. ...

Re: Gary interview - July 29

It would be more than foolish for the coaches to guarantee a starting to job to JS or for that matter almost any transfer that would come to USU. I seriously doubt GA did so. I listened to the interview and that is certainly not what I heard. I'm sure he didn't "guarantee" the job, but Shelley isn'...

Re: Gary interview - July 29

I don't think that is true. I would say he likely didn't want to go into the season with only one QB with any decent game experience and didn't want the position to have zero competition for the starting role without a returning starter. Don't think it was a problem with HC specifically

Re: PAC 12 Players threaten to sit out Season

I have a lot of empathy and concern for the players, especially those who feel like they are being forced to play when they are unsafe. I don't have empathy, however, for the added bullet point of profit-sharing in their list of demands. It undercuts their argument for me. Athletes work very had, bu...

Unless someone that I am not aware of has bailed, we don't have a scholarship for him. I'm sure we might consider taking him as a preferred walk-on. Just because a kid leaves byu doesn't mean he is going to be better than the kids we already have. We gotta get beyond the little brother stuff. I am ...

Cole Motes will be here August 9th. But he is coming. He'll be playing a DJ Tialavea TE/OL hybrid role. He's also 260.

If Quinton Hadnot is a walk-on, he is a great walk-on!
I doubt he is a walk-on. Happy to have him either way...

I’m onboard with these! Just please don’t throw the bull decal on them. Don’t put that decal on any helmet, for that matter. This small school (in the often overlooked western US) needs some logo consistency if we are ever going to build national brand recognition. I would love to see the bull on t...

At the SDSU game this last year they only allowed a single person at a time on the escalator to the upper section I was in because they were afraid it would collapse. Seriously guys, it is SDSU and it isn't close. I've been to UNLV and it is a football paradise in comparison.
