Re: Verdict on Cockett to be released Friday
Even if she said what the explanation was, it isn't ok. She blew it. I hate to say it because I don't think there is a discrimination problem, at least I hope not. But if I did a similar thing in a hiring situation at my job and it let to this kind of a black cloud, I would be gone. I just don't kn...

Re: Verdict on Cockett to be released Friday
My guess? Dr. Crockett said something along the lines of this: "We appreciate you athletes and how you've represented the school in a uniquely challenging year. We appreciate your sacrifices. We acknowledge the ringing endorsement and character witness you've given Coach Maile. He's been a steadyin...

Re: Karter Shaw in Transfer Portal
I think we had a lot of talent on the OL. I can't speak to the coaching, but I think this past couple of years the biggest problem was in the weight room. Probably GA 2.0's original sin

Re: Karter Shaw in Transfer Portal
Is Shaw salvageable or is this a dead deal. Seems the staff is bringing in some great guys from the portal so far, so I have to think they've got some OL prospects out there. Karter Shaw may be open to staying. Stupid question I know, but why would he put his name in the transfer portal then? After...

Re: Where is Damuni in all of this?
He can either be a great asset in repairing things- other than not pushing harder to get his son be an Aggie but I’m also suspicious of him of potentially being the person who had the recording of Hartwell- only because I don’t believe Wheat obtained it on his own- and I do believe that you’d need ...

Re: "New" column about the football program
There is no one behind the curtain on this, just very poor judgement by Cockett and Hartwell. If there was a bias issue, I am glad this is happening to uncover it. If there isn't, she should still be in trouble for saying something that allowed the perception to exist.

The time I went with my son to a USU @ SDSU game and they only let one person ride the escalator at a time because they were worried it would collapse, lol.

Sorry guys, I think we need a starting QB in the worst way. I agree. Peasley has some strengths an makes some great throws. He is no where near consistent enough to be the starter to a good team. We can hope he improves, but hope isn't a plan. We need to bring in people at QB more than any other po...

Re: Doug Robinson article on the Maile incident
The damage is done. We know enough about what was said to know at best Noelle said something she has to know better not to say and at worst, there was a real discriminatory issue. In the end it doesn't matter. Noelle and USU will pay the price either way. I'm glad the players did what they did becau...

Re: Frank's Statement
The more I've watched things play out the last 5 weeks the more it's my opinion that FM was the divisive influence on the locker room. By creating factions you can effectively advance your position, and it appears this was FM's strategy from the start. The further he gets from our players, our prog...

I for one, given what I know of Frank and very surprised by this statement. I hold him in high esteem and find the conspiracy theory some are espousing with this hard to imagine. Frank wouldn't normally act this way. Also, the players wouldn't normally give up a chance to play. Also, Noelle wouldn't...

Re: Sounds like we have an OC
It’s as if there are coaches outside Utah and there is a benefit expanding outside of an incestuous pool of former Ute and BYU coaches No no no, we need to keep a bunch of guys from a terrible staff because they know how to recruit Utah! Because clearly they were doing such a good job of it. Well, ...

not sure how many open scholarships we have, but 24/7 says we currently have 'only' 6 recruits committed, and 22 has commented elsewhere that he's only heard from 3 that they're still committed. Re: Players voted against playing because of comments by President Cockett
My guess about what happened: Players: “we love Frank, he really gets us because he is mormon and poly.” Cockett: “we can’t hire someone just because they are mormon and poly.” Players: “rarrrr, President Cockett said we aren’t hiring Frank just because he’s mormon and poly!” Burn this mother down!...
