Re: A real bonafide.....

Any truth to the rumor that we reinstated the shaw kid and a bunch of players boycotted the first practice?? Yeppers; they are actually practicing: helmets, using a football, more than just walk-thru's, working on their schemes/formations, etc..I think its gotta be mentally uplifting for the boys(a...

Re: Future schedules

Maybe we’ll offer them a 3-2 deal, or a 2-1 deal? They need us more than we need them, they can enjoy their new kinship with the Sun Belt and Conf-USA. If you watched ARMY this weekend; their defense is LEGIT....and their offense is always ugly to prep for....I am sure the CADETS will handle BYU ea...

Re: Today!

It sucks; it doesn't make sense; it's political as we all know and premature decisions by MW in my opinion didn't safeguard the athletes up there...(They were doing things right with pre-cautions/testing from June 1st up until the recent decision).... I do hope the other conferences with the temerit...

Re: Extra Year for Fall Athletes

As far as I can tell, the process is going to look a lot like this: 1. Figure out which seniors you consider major contributors 2. Determine which ones want to come back 3. Analyze scholarshipped students FR-JR and pick out non-developers for "coaching out" 4. Calculate how many scholarships are fr...

Re: Outrage, or at least displeasure with Cancelled MWC Sports

I didn't want to chime-in too early because I was so angered at the politics which go into so many decisions....everywhere right now! I've always loved sports because of the "pure meritocracy" it promotes, so remiss in today's society, etc. I was so dang mad with the pre-mature MW decision but I now...

I have heard from sources back east (my sons cousin was a soccer stud there) that UCONN wants to drop to FCS into the division with James Madison but internal politics; maybe that's the moxy they needed to move towards FCS level in near future! Their attendance rates are abysmal...

Re: Now that the P5 have all announced, what about USU and the MWC?

I think model the Big-12 or even ACC......100% I propose keeping our current MW schedule (8 teams) and add two (non-conference games) to make it a 10-game season. Push the start dates back coup weeks if that's needed I guess; since they are pushing fall camp back for several more weeks and I know th...

What happens if the coronavirus is still a problem in fall of 2021? Offense will be balanced for sure whichever QB steps-up to lead the pack and with that running game(power/speed), experienced O-line from what I am reading/hearing, WR's that have length on outside now and then some very fast, shifty experienced slots inside..and don't forget you have mix-depth at T...

Re: Ivy League cancels fall sports

The Ivy League has the freedom to make such a decision since they’re built on their educational superiority, (and some would say own perceived political prowess and vanguarding as well); while the FBS would suffer substantially! However, it’s still too early to determine with finality what the FBS w...

I would have no trepidation or angst in wearing a mask at games (if that truly helped and also afforded a higher comfort-level to others) and it safeguarded a way to get politics out of the message/delivery and afforded a chance for the season to move forward!
