Re: CSU Sellout?

Aggie fans are cheap, too cheap, it sucks because it’s puts a much lower ceiling on the potential of our program It could be worse. Utah State could get an administration who hates sports and passes regulations to kill your fanbase. Let me tell you a story…. A couple years ago there was a twitter v...

Fair enough. If the Aggie D can make the Aztec's O-Line look as ineffective as they looked against Weber State then the Aztecs are in for a long game.

Re: What do we make of the SDSU-Weber game?

I like the way Weber State's d-line matched up with SDSU. Sure like that Davis kid from Weber. He could have been ours. They only match-up that way against the "spread". The match-up against the power set looks different. Against the "Spread" https://i.postimg.cc/yJxc53c7/Weber-43.jpg Against the "...

Re: What do we make of the SDSU-Weber game?

The SDSU Defense did what they were supposed to do despite being deliberately handicapped. That was enough to keep Weber from scoring anything, or even threatening to score. The SDSU defense is much better today than it was when the shut out Weber a month ago. The real issue in that game was the hor...

Re: What do we make of the SDSU-Weber game?

The ONLY thing you can take from the SDSU-Weber game is that the SDSU Defensive Down Lineman are not as bad as was presumed in the preseason. Nothing else can be gleaned. The offense has changed to something closer to the old power line-up since that game, and the defense had a total absence of blit...

I don't know what juice poppers are but I looked them up and they look gross. "Juice Poppers are a liquid, juice-flavored center encased in a thin membrane made from seaweed extract" hopefully this is the wrong "juice popper" :noidea: They're actually pretty good. Better my several traumas than never to have measured myself against other men and boys. Better to have aches and pains that aren't really occasioned by age alone. Excuse my bluntness, but you're stealing something precious from that boy. Maybe, but don’t confuse not playing tackle football with no...

Re: Random Pet Peeve

Football etiquette is missing. Children should be chaperoned, they should not roam around the west stadium club level. that is what happened. 5 monsters ruined much of the game for many of those in section 7 of the club seat area. Never sat down, moved to the rail blocking the view for many in atte...

Re: BCS Buster without the bluster

While I can't read the article beyond the first couple paragraphs, I would add that kick-off time plays a big role. The East Coast sports writers don't watch the westernmost MWC team play. Fresno State typically has an 8 PM Mountain kick-off time at home. SDSU typically has an 8:30 PM Mountain kick-...

Re: SDSU Critical to Win?

As for those of us who are worried about a "vanilla" defense, not gonna happen. Coach Andersen and the boys know how big this one is. With two weeks to game plan, I’m sure this is correct. If it is vanilla, it is also going to have chocolate syrup, rainbow sprinkles, nuts, whip cream, 4 cherries, g...

Re: Some defensive personnel changes I noticed

I don't care much about the scheme we employee. I just want the best players out on the field. They give us the best chance to win. If that is the 1-3-7 or 6-2-3, I don't care. The only problem with the 1-3-7 is finding a good nose tackle who can anchor it. Competing with the SEC schools for those ...

I think you might have created a classic.
Think of how easy it would be for BYU’s marketing department.

Where’d you find this Al-O-Meter?
It is original artwork I created for this thread using the promo shots of the Indianapolis Colts white uniforms as the base photo, and about 5 minutes of work in Paint.NET.

Re: SDSU's Vaunted Defense

Our up tempo style should limit what they can do defensively, as far as all the different looks. FWIW - Coach Rocky Long agrees with your assessment. He says almost exactly that at around the @3:30 mark in his breakdown of the Utah State vs Aztecs game aired earlier today. https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: SDSU's Vaunted Defense

I did not watch the game, was NMSU moving the ball well with the first string SDSU defense in or were a lot of their yards in garbage time against back ups? NMSU's passing yard were against the SDSU first string Defense but they came late in the 3rd and 4th quarter after SDSU was up 24-0 at which t...

What happened to Pumphrey? I don't really follow the NFL. Who is he playing for now? Glad we won't see him again.
Pumphrey bounded around for a couple years and is out of the league now. He was too light for the NFL.

Re: Anyone else hate the timing of our two byes this year?

Can you tell me why USU hasn't ever seen a defense like SDSU's like people are claiming on aztecmesa? I am legitimately interested in seeing how our offense will stack up to the Aztec D. The Aztecs run a unique defense called the 3-3-5 or 3-3 stack. There are other teams who also run that defense b...

LSU is a way more important game than SDSU.
I agree with your take. LSU is way more important, and the the Tite Front defense they run can be a nightmare for spread teams like the Aggies. I'd say Utah State should spend at least 3 weeks preparing for the Tite Front defense.
