Re: New QB transfer?

Well the SL Trib article says he is the replacement for Jordan Love. They do mention Colombi but it seems they think he doesn't have a chance. Yeah, I found that to be lazy reporting. It looks like someone just looked up some stats and made some huge assumptions. What I find interesting is that Leg...

Re: "Fell into"

I'll add my 2 cents since I am one of those that have used the phrase more than once when it comes to Queta. When I have said it, I did not mean to imply that coaches did not do any work to get him to Logan, but rather incredible fortune was on our side for it to happen. Many of these fortuitous thi...

Re: Agree or Disagree? Column says that Colorado State is our 'Most Important Game' in 2020

I think 7 is the floor. I believe people are underestimating how much experience we have returning compared to last year. Like others, I expect the defense to be improved simply due to scheme but also because of personnel and depth. I also think we'll see an improved offense too though. Love was gre...

Gonzaga and SMC have had a lot of success with international players. These two keep being pointed out as the models of success but these programs achieved success because that international talent is/was mixed with elite athleticism (usually from the US). I still think we are missing that componen...

Or maybe he needs to work on the academic side of things..
I think I remember reading that he was home schooled so I have to wonder if qualifying issues came into play. I would have thought that was all figured out though if he signed an NLI at USU.

Re: Utah State basketball to change program name

Good responses, to be clear I am not complaining about the direction we have gone I just hope we don't neglect the pursuit of local guys while suffering through more Ben Fakira's brought in from over seas in hopes of hitting the lottery with someone like Queta. I agree we should get the best talent ...

Re: Utah State basketball to change program name

Jalen Moore comeback was pretty fun when he came in for Kyle Davis against Colorado St in the mountain west tournament. I looked it up. Down 9 1:35 to go. Jalen hit a 3 got two steals, offensive rebound and hit both his free-throws during that time. Amazing. Butterfield hit a three and all his free...

Re: USU Tier 4 Job

I'm not sold that the people that put this together (or similar lists) are all that familiar with the actual status of each program. At bare minimum, you would think it would be easy to look up winning %'s, bowl appearances, things that are quantifiable, etc. Beyond that, it requires more research a...

I was however streaming/recording this game back on the old BigBlueChat site. This upload was featured on the front page of MSN and became my first video with 10M+ views on YouTube. Okay, it is also my only video with 10M+ views but still....

Re: Incoming freshmen

As far as TRUE freshman go, Queta is the only one I can think of on a winning team. In Carroll's freshman season, he averaged over 14 points and 4 rebounds per game and USU won the Big West Tournament and made the NCAAT. The Agges went 24-8 on the year. I would consider that a winning team. He was ...

I think USU has always had it tough getting schools to come to Logan. However, it hasn't held you back in any way. You rose to the top in the BW, the WAC and now the MW. I am sure you see yourself as a major player in MW basketball. It is possible that this has nothing to do with fairness or helpin...

Oregon played us in Logan around 2000 or 2001 I think when they had Harrington at QB. They’ve definitely ascended as a program since then. This is exactly the type of OOC arrangement we should be pursuing. I still remember that 2001 game in Logan. Two weeks previous we had gone to LSU and got kicke...
