Re: Uniform Question

I get tired of seeing most of our uniform combos on those “ugliest uniforms in college football” articles. If we can’t get better uni’s, here’s a better identity for now. Crossing my fingers. But I would also add gold into the color scheme which people here wouldn’t like. Home: https://uploads.tapat...

Re: Players voted against playing because of comments by President Cockett

This program was blue-collar-tough not too long ago. Strong people who actually believed in Maile would go to war for him and give him a victory. End the season with a celebration or one hell of a fight. Weak people play the victim to get power. They feel better by sitting in the bleachers and hurti...

Re: Shelley dismissed

Well, I guess one way to handle players that get frustrated with legacy teammates is totally kicking them off the team forever in the spirit of the moment. Instead of a warm bench and a talking-to, just have a sharp guillotine. That way, not only are you even more short-rostered and under-staffed, b...

Re: My worthless 2 cents on the fundamental schematic problem

Here's Sanford's analysis of the offense: "Mike Sanford said the team’s offensive production isn’t actually as anemic as it seems. “I think that we’re in a place right now where we haven’t played our best ball, but we’re close,” Sanford said. “When you watch the film, it’s not far off.” Sanford thin...

That drives me nuts, we burned Ajani's redshirt on special teams when he could have stepped in as WR all year, or even now that the offense can't even move!!!

I was a student from out of state- so I don't understand why them saying the Ogden thing would bother anyone. I think it makes them look dumb and ignorant. It's like they live in their imaginary world where they have to ignore getting dominated by a school twice in a row. They have a reputation out-...

I've always said that Koch and also Henninger are THE two most underappreciated players on this team. MAJOR difference makers that don't get enough attention from fans and media.

Now I'm thinking maybe you just fire it to a guy immediately or pitch it to the outside to get free 4-5 yards until they stop doing that. I don't know about you but if I could guarantee 4 yards on every play I'd call the same play ever play for the whole game. You would score a TD every time and be...

bring back the slant route! I have wondered where the slants went as well. great analysis hick. I get the vibe that every coach hates their respective schemes but is waiting until next season to do anything about it. These kids are smart and could handle some new installations though. It's not really optional at this point.

Re: A thread showing examples of creative playcalling

We seem to have this identity as a QB option team where Love is always reading defenders to decide if he should run with it... he is a pocket passer not chuckie keaton... time for a new scheme with some trickery or creativity that defenders don't have nailed down so easily. Every time he takes off I...

Last week's game was tough to swallow. In no way did I expect to actually win, but I definitely expected a better showing. After having cooled off a bit, I got to thinking about the state of our program and college football in general. And a thought popped into my head. We need to be honest about w...

I honestly felt like they held their own on Saturday. Not perfect, by any means. But I don't recall Love getting sacked or knocked down too many times. Who is our QB for the future. I am not impressed with Columbi or Peasley's throwing ability! Yeah, they can run, but then teams will stack the box and we will be in deep doo! I have this concern too. There is a huge drop-off between Love and everyone else. Somebody on this board made the point that...

Re: Time to scrap the tempo offense

One major downside of the tempo offense is that it incentivizes players to not hustle (unless your name is Heninger who always hustles no matter what) players stand around, miss blocks, don't push the pile - running back is totally alone most plays getting mugged, run lazy routes etc. because they a...

I try to hold on to the hope that we are hiding the playbook for future games. The good news is I'm pretty confident we can beat Nevada & New Mexico and then at least o...

It is frustrating to me to watch Toledo scorch the rams on the edge just to watch us let Bright give it his all and win the game for us running up the middle. It seems like we do not take advantage of our players skill sets. Put our players in a position to do what they are best at. I genuinly thin...

Fans who don't understand and the game blame the QB for everything. Easiest scapegoat. Pics happen to all QB's. Re: Love

The problem with Love is that he is no threat to take off and run it. That is what made Chuckie the better college qb and allowed us to compete in the big p5 games during his tenure. Even when none of our receivers could get open, Chuckie could scramble and get good chunks of yards. When receivers ...

Good points, but you have to keep in mind that Stanford is trying to come in and mimic Yosts's offense, rather than his own. I think it's pretty hard to come in and try to copy someone that isn't you and do just as well as them doing it. It might be worth considering that he will make tweaks and may...

Jordan won’t be with us next year. He’ll either be in the NFL or transferred to a P5 school with better talent.
