Re: DC Hire
Nmsu ran a 3-3-5 last year. 👀 Meh maybe as a basic concept. If you watch their film it looks more like a 4-3, 4-2, or 3-4. I've brought this up on the board before, very few good coaches in today's game run a true base defense. I would say 80% of the time the weakside backer is lined up as a stand ...

Re: Article on Shaun Dolac
Dolac was injured in game 4 this year and took a redshirt. He was a freshman that played all 7 games for Buffalo in 2020. He should have a COVID year available too, so up to 2 years of eligibility left. So Cauthen would have coached Dolac for 2 years at Buffalo. I assume that’s where we had a pre-e...

Do they play the triple option?!?!? Ugghhh. Praying they don’t play the triple option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk No they run a spread offense. Re: Official Depth Chart Out. Did we switch back to the "striker/spur" defense?
First of all, kudos to aggies22. He basically nailed the depth chart. I noticed though that the official depth chart doesn't show the defense in a Nickel or with a 4-3 defense, but rather seemingly in the same formation we have been using in recent years past with a 4-2 base and then having a lineb...

Re: Predict the Score - FB 10/15 @ Colorado State
I know it’s early but these predictions have me scratching my head a bit. CSU’s offense has scored 6 touchdowns and two field goals in 5 games. Outside of Michigan they haven’t really played anyone either.

I love seeing the shots of Tucker up in the booth during the game and Chuckie is always sitting right next to him. Makes me think he's getting a lot of mentorship and hopefully he'll be calling the offense for someone soon, himself. From there we'll see a Head Coach Keeton somewhere, too. As far as...

Sounds like the coaches are being a little shady with some of these high school kids. They are “pulling” scholarships and asking the kids to “blue shirt”. Disappointing. My brother tore his labrum freshman year of high school and played with it all four years and got it fixed after his senior year, but he was a dline man. There is a big difference with a QB. Without looking, I'm guessing eight: Nathan, Bond, Gilliam, Bannerman, Scarver, Meitzenheimer, Ali'ifua, Terrell. Transfers: Mayberry/Kansas; Rice/ArkSt; Henry-Cole/Utah; Wright/Snow; Bowling/ArkSt; Heninger/Utah; Knight/Liberty; Moore/UCLA I believe Bond started at JC, Gilliam started at JC, Banne...

I think a 6-2 record would win the division for Usu. I think so too. BSU beats CSU SDSU beats BSU USU could then drop one and still win. The boys need to come ready to play against Hawaii. That’s not going to be an easy game. You are correct, it will not be an easy game. I only watched a little bit...

Re: DE Position
Gary A was focused on LB's. He said we couldn't successfully recruit "Biggs" so he recruited LB's. What I see as a result of that mindset is that we have a lot of LB size guys on defense. You can see that B. Anderson is trying to change that with the transfers, but it's not going to happen this sea...

Could it be that the coaches just want to see different combos of players together right now...like Peoples and Moore side by side or Hobbs-Vaughns & Joyner as the 2 ends and see how they work together? Aggies22 and others in the know: I see our 2021 class is ranked 138, behind programs such as Eastern Washington, Western Kentucky, Northern Arizona, and Southern Mississippi. We're also ranked last in the Mountain West. National / MW 2021: 138 / 12 2020: 122 / 11 2019: 90 / 4 2018: 109 / 9 2017: 10...

We are only taking 3 or 4 high school kids. Transfers do not reflect on your rankings. That is why. Nothing to be concerned over at all. If all the transfers scores were counted in our class we would be close to number 1 in the conference and top 75 in the country.
