Re: 2020 Utah State Football Preseason Preview: Running Back

I'm wondering if Keegan Duncan will be utilized at all during short-yardage situations (think Nick Vigil). The dude is a beast with great athleticism (assuming he's 100%) and we struggled MIGHTILY last year in 3-in-short and 4-in-short situations. Sometimes these smaller, shifter backs have a hard ...

Am I missing something that is getting folks excited about this kid? He's got a decent frame, albeit a little shorter than most TEs that we've brought in over the last few years. He's not highly rated, and doesn't have an impressive offer list. Unless our internal scouting has identified this kid a...

Re: Cool J Love Video

Cool video. The best part is at 36:30. Sanchez calls the play and said to Love, "You went formation in the boundary, AGAIN. I need to talk to your coordinator, by the way" Love smiles and shakes his head. Does formation boundary just mean they have WR stacked on the short side by boundary? Essentia...

Re: Jordan Love to Green Bay Packers with 26th pick

Packer fans need to pump the brakes! there was no other WR with first round value left! There is however a ton of solid WR left in this draft and they can easily draft someone tonight who can make an impact right now. This was a simple case of building for the future and taking the best available p...

Re: Can Love be replaced?

There are a lot bigger concerns on offense for me than qb. Rb depth and age (hopefully we can still get the jc kid ex UCLA commit) and wr (outside of our slot guys who do we have). I couldn't agree more! QB is not a concern to me at all. Columbi is a stud and he will be just fine. RB depth is a con...

Back to Spring Ball... how big is the QB battle going to be? I thought Colombi had it locked up but by the sounds of it, Peasley could make a run at it. I would be shocked if Peasley is even close to a full participant in spring ball. Modern medicine has definitely helped speed up the recovery from...

It works both ways. We could lose some, but will get players from p5 as well that are not getting as much playing time there. Certainly seem to be on to something here 84025, and the axe could swing freely in the forest with this one. The term I would use for this proposed transfer rule is UNINTEND...

Looking at last year's roster page and I'm seeing Ena as the inside LB coach and nobody coaching outside LB's. I assume that wasn't actually the case? Since we didn't play with outside backers last year that was the case. Bojay coached the defensive ends. this year he will coach the outside backers.

Guys, our recruits either: (1) have to be recruited by Stacy Collins; (2) be a former Utah player; or (3) be related to a member of the coaching staff. Unless at least one of those qualifications is met, there’s at least a 95% chance they aren’t signing here. Except our two highest rated recruits t...

I’m saying I have reason to believe we’re going to bring another impactful running back. If that happens the position would probably be 4 deep. Barring injuries if that’s the case I think you’ll maybe see Noa redshirt.
Agreed!

It wouldn't surprise me to see Noa end up redshirting next season, actually. I think we're still going pretty hard after a grad transfer or JC running back. If we can land the right guy I think you'll see Noa or Gentry maybe redshirt. Also, there's still plenty of time to bring in grad transfers. A...

I see Britain covey in that picture and they appear about the same height. Then chase Hansen (who is baptizing him) towers above him. https://mobile.twitter....

I am extremely hopeful and optimistic we land gentry. I also really like taequan tyler a jc running back out of texas that is warm on us. Some food for thought in my opinion if we land Gentry then Warren could potentially drop to 3rd on the depth chart. Gentry and noa are that good!

Am I wrong to be concerned that we keep going back to short guys at CB? Tall CB's aren't that easy to find and if any team that has good taller CB's are very lucky to have them.
