Re: Formal apology to Brock Miller

I saw a quote from Craig Smith saying as good as Miller was offensively, he was even better defensively. How does that reconcile to the general consensus on this board that he is a poor defender. Is it just that the bar is that low, or is he better than most on this board give him credit for? I've ...

If BYU ends up winning pretty much everyone but Gonzaga, do they end up Top 30 (I think that is what we need for them to be a Q1 loss as the home team). They are at 35 right now, but some...

How does this affect Title IX? Or, as long as the scholarships are honored, does that not affect the required balance between sports?

Yeah Boise has looked very good. I have loved how we have looked, but they are the team to beat for now. Kindof crazy how they have parlayed their football success into basketball success. There aren't a ton of school who seem to be good at both. I think they have been getting much better at bball ...

I realize that everyone exaggerates physical measurement, but he would be lucky to measure 6’3” in long cleats on cement with his helmet on. There have been successful NFL QBs lately that are shorter (Brees and Wilson), but I think he is almost on the left tail of the current distribution https://go...

He has a third gear the Porter didn't have.

I think an underrated aspect of his game is that he is always talking (not in the trash talking sense). I know that coaches always preach on-court communication, but he is a player that I always feel like they are actually doing it.

Frankly, if he can’t make it in the NBA, he had go back to Europe and make bank. He is witty and funny and a pretty good player. I think he could be a fan favorite on a European team.

May be putting the cart before the horse, but....

3.5 more years of Worster and Ashworth could be touting this as one of the best backcourts in USU history. We have had some pretty good duos over the years, but we have two freshmen (one a true freshman) playing well beyond their basketball years. I know, I know. There is a lot of proving that has t...

What is a good defense against their offense? Do we go small and try to run with them? Do we go big and deny cuts and backdoors, and force then to beat is with mid-range jumpers and beyond? I love b-ball, but don’t have enough technical knowhow to know how one defends their offense. That being said,...

Why is this forum still called Stews Spectrum? Shouldn't it be call "Craig's Corner" If Craig Smith passed Stew in the total wins column, maybe we can talk about it. I just don't see how these max quantities end up being viable for small market teams a few years from now. Is there a rule that a coach can't dismiss any player at any time for any reason? We all understand if a coac...

It is the same with real estate. Unless the agent is actually providing a service (which many times the marketing, pictures, open houses, connections with other realtors, etc. make an agent worth it), why not just pay a lawyer $500 and the title company whatever their fee is to wrap up a sale.
