What is the opposite of regression to the mean? :stirpot: Progression to the extreme. This sounds like an inspirational quote from the 90s. I’ll eat crow on this dirtnsnow is quoting me on Saying that Brock would regress to his mean. Love it but let’s see what he can do on the road which has been r...

Re: Summarizing the new transfers / recruits
I think a nice stretch goal is 6 wins and a bowl game. We should be able to go 2-2 at a minimum in our non-conference games as I don’t see us losing to either North Dakota or NMSU. Going 4-4 in league games won’t be easy but doable. May depend on which games are at home and which are away. I think ...

Re: Maile's "three pillars" recruiting strategy (from the report)
I completely agree. Not bleak at all. It's purely a numbers game. Utah actually does quite well with the quality of recruits it puts out compared to population numbers. How is it not bleak for Utah State if none of that talent comes here? Bleak for division I football? No. Bleak for USU? Sure sound...

Guys, it's pretty simple. Think of it as globalization (and I'm not casting any judgement pro or con on this). Did RCA do a great job of manufacturing CRT TV's in Indianapolis for 40 years. Yes. Should they start up again. No. In the McBride, LaVelle, and GA 1.0 years, it wasn't a global world. It ...

Not sure it affects the players but I think for sure it affects the refs.SectionBAggie wrote: ↑January 17th, 2021, 7:35 pmBroadcasters for both SDSU games made multiple mentions of the crowd noise given the number of empty seats. Not sure how big it is, but there is a home court advantage in the Spectrum - even this year.

P5 schools, utah and byu. Kids grow up dreaming of going to either school or going bigger. do you see us being able to supplant the dream of playing for byu or utah at all? i have to imagine that would take 10-15 years of sustained success on our part. I feel for he and Gary. It's a tough business and this would have been a crappy year to have to perform through. Re: Formal apology to Brock Miller
I've been wrong on Brock so far this year. He's playing much better, and I'm hoping that he can sustain that level of play for the entire season.
One observation is that he shoots noticeably better in the Spectrum than on the road.

Maile’s three pillars were made worse by the fact that he sucked at his own three pillars.
Maile gave up on recruiting a long time ago.

On Friday morning, Jerry Bovee contacted Hartwell and said, “[w]e have a problem.” He told him that the players were not going to play the final game. My goodness. Reading the report validates all my concerns with Frank.
These three pillars are just.... weird. It almost speaks to someone having a very naive world view.
Wow did we dodge a bullet, and again, I couldn't be happier that he's a Bronco now.

I still can't believe the mountain that was made out of this.
We cancelled a game, prevented Senior's from CSU from playing in their finale.
There are some actors in this that I never want to see on our sidelines again. Some are formally gone, some still are not.

This should be super interesting.
Seems like this is ahead of schedule? If that's the case I would lean towards no fault being assessed and we can all just move on.
