Re: Why don't we just go Indy this season?

Yea keep our game with YBU, schedule Weber, SUU and Dixie, and AFA! Why the hell not???????? @YBU SUU Weber AFA Dixie @Nebraska This is without doubt a terrible idea!!! So, just so you can see a FB game, have the Seniors lose a season, the redshirts move up and on and on with some $hitty schedule. ...

Its getting to the point where I may suit up the neighbors chickens, half in Aggie blue and the other half in who cares what color and watch them fight it out, so yeah, Sun Belt would be alright.

Re: Nebraska won't be playing rogue this fall

Right, Likely every conference ends up cancelling. If the SEC holds out and plays I could see Ohio State, Michigan and Nebraska want to leave the conference though. Football programs of that magnitude aren't going to be happy not playing while others are. I don't, that is a messy slope they probabl...

Should we stay or leave? Should we go in the same direction as BYU in WCC and FBS Independent? Should a new conference be made in response to the stupidity of the MWC? We've already gone down the independent route and it wasn't great. Byu-p is in a completely unique situation and has a lot more fin...

I am incredibly bummed. I told my kids last night and my youngest complained for an hour before going to bed, saying watching Aggie football was one of his favorite things to do with me. Heartbreaking. As faculty at a school whose athletic department is already $65-100M in the whole, I also wonder ...

Re: Football Season Is In Jeopardy

A "successful, well known" G5? There are only a few of those. Boise, UCF, Houston, Memphis or Cincy maybe?? There aren't that many programs in the G5 that fit that bill. With the AAC and MWC both announcing recently that they'd play, seems odd it would be one of them. That doesn't leave much else. C...

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but heard this morning a "successful, well known" G5 program will announce tomorrow they will not play this season, and possibly the entire conference will follow. Not good.
Don't play with our emotions, NorCal. Where did you hear it and what conference?

Looks like we’ll have to find a replacement for SUU for sure now.
I think we should fill it with a Big 12 game just to annoy those misguided friends and family that cheer for the school in provo. Like brothers do.

Not happy that it'll be our first game and byu-p will have played at least one game (Navy) and potentially a few more to get the kinks out. Guess that gives a chance to get a good look at them before we kick their asses.

I don't care if we play byu or not. It's a rivalry game and it means more because they are in state and a bunch of a-holes, but to be honest, if we didn't play them, I wouldn't care. I haven't seen anything saying the MWC is adding additional games with byu-p, so I'm not sure we're bailing them out so much since the games with them were already scheduled. In some circles where it is spoken of in hushed tones; Size Matters. But it is not true in every case. If this kid has game he is tall enough.
