Re: Calhoun interview with Scotty today
He mentioned going into it there was only 2 games already scheduled Alcorn and UTU. I could have swore that the Saint Louis was supposed to be a home/home. Does anyone know if they are going to come to Logan this year or in a future year?

Re: Calhoun interview with Scotty today
Eric Haut will work with the defense. Sounds like he will install a matchup zone for the defense. Be interesting to see how that goes.

Doug has no head coaching experience at the D1 level. There is a good chance this will be a disaster. I do like listening to Doug talk college hoops on his radio show.

Re: Jacob Conover
This one is puzzling to me. There's not a single thing in his college career that indicates he's even an FCS-level player. I guess you've gotta fill the QB room somehow and have bodies in practice, but feels like we're scraping the bottom of the barrel here. It is hard to bring in QB's and tell the...

Re: Jacob Conover
Welcome aboard Jacob. Nice to have a full QB room. Hopefully Spencer can stay healthy as the drop off currently seems to be pretty big. I do think Tiller has the tools with a year in the system to be solid next year.

Re: Summer international basketball
If they do an international trip does that exclude them from playing in preseason tournaments? I know the international games don't count but was not sure if participating in them excluded teams from MTE events. That will be an awesome trip for players.

Re: A video of worst college football coaching mistakes
I still have nightmare flashbacks of the CSU game from 12 or years ago. Why in the hell did we have Moats try and field the punt is beyond me. Field position at that point is meaningless. It does not matter if the ball stopped at 3. Just run up the middle with Turbin for 2-3 times and the game is ov...

I hate to see Great leave especially to Washington. I hate what NIL has become but am happy for Great personally. He comes from pretty humble circumstances financially so this will be life changing for him. In no way is NIL like this sustainable long term.

Looks like a good pickup. If you are a receiver playing under Cefalo and Blake calling plays you know you will have plenty of chances to get the ball.

Re: NAR: Missouri State is in C-USA
If you can' t compete in the Missouri Valley conference, then why not move up to the CUSA - it's mostly former FCS teams now anyway. I can't recall MO State dominating FB, MBB, WBB, or VB in the conference since 1999 when I started following Northern Iowa. Agreed, i would argue the MVC in football ...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
I expect Falslev to take a big step forward in consistency. He had some really good games last year, but disappeared at times. I think we will see the really good Falslev consistently. I agree, I think he takes the next step in being a consistent player game in and game out. He had flashes last yea...

Re: Isaac Davis to USU?
Does this mean that Great Osobor will not be coming back? Are we at 13 players? Signing Davis will have no affect on if Great decides to come back. Davis will not be taking minutes away from Great next season. Great would be the main focal point of the offense if (big if) he returns. I think Davis ...

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner
Does anyone else think it’s crazy how much Graham Ike getting hurt changed the trajectory of Wyoming basketball? The players would have run like the wind from the program either way. Lindner is/was the problem there. Yeah, somehow I think this is a net gain for Wyoming. Not sure about the contract ...

Linder has always come off as arrogant to me. I read the WYOboard occasionally and apparently he is not the most personable coach. Taking the job this late would be a nightmare.

Re: Chris Murray Thoughts
I like Chris a lot but respectfully disagree that we were losers in the transfer portal. I think at a minimum we are neutral but trending in the right direction. We have 3 starters back and we replaced Brown with Albury, Great with Aubin, and Josh with Tucker. We also brought in 2 back up point guar...

Re: Hillstead Transferring
The deseret news article makes it sound like he'll be the best QB in eons to play there. This begs the question, why wasn't he named #1 here at the end of spring ball if he's all that? Amazing how much better someone becomes just by transferring. To be clear, I think he has a lot of potential and I...

Re: Isaac Davis to USU?
My take on Isaac Davis is that he is the definition of the high risk-high reward player that appears is to be coming here. Davis is a power forward with power and mass with the ability to drive it to the hoop, but Davis is also 6'6" which is very short for a power forward. We still need to address ...

Re: Isaac Davis to USU?
Is Great Osobor too lazy a comp? It feels like low hanging fruit but he’s got a lot of Osobor to his game. I don't think that is a lazy take, i was thinking the same thing when watching his highlights. He certainly has a similar body type as Great and quite frankly has similar moves. Excited to see...

Yep, he was a key player in sparking the run. Allowed others to drive and not get double teamed due to needing to stay on Sam.Imakeitrain wrote: ↑May 5th, 2024, 1:06 pmHad a good 1st half. 8 points some boards and an assist. Not bad for a game 7. Big 3 was a turning point. Cavs now up to end 3rd.
