Re: Luke Marion Enters transfer portal

Are there numbers that show of all transfers from fbs programs what % got picked up by other fbs programs, what % transferred to fcs and what % did not get picked up at all?

Re: Scotty and Hans Yesterday

It seems like there are generally 30-35 D1 football athletes per year in the state of Utah. Probably 5-8 go out of state, 10-15 to BYU, 10ish to Utah and maybe 5-7 to USU. I certainly want the program to focus on Utah but I don't think we can expect to get more than 8ish scholarship players per year...

The run by Green for 91 yards exposed a problem we have had all year. Whom ever we have that is supposed to be turning the runs inside either isn't doing their job, or is so slow they can't do it. There is no way he should have been able to bounce that run outside and literally have nobody there to...

The contract was signed in March 2020 when she was hired, so she's in year 3 of the contract. In current market, is $215k/year a huge overpay for a head coach of...

I see several UNLV fans claiming 5-7 is not good enough AND they aren’t going to settle for a 3-5 year rebuild. From my perspective, this is the same process that landed Scott Frost in Nebraska. Players sound unhappy. https://twitter.com/joearrigofsm/status/1597333040698519552?s=46&t=lroKWwBu-Lvf6y...

O-line improvement.
Not a 100% offensive scheme change but more wrinkles put in. Utilize the tight end and middle of the field more.
Get bigger on the d-line.
Get bigger with the corners.
Improve upon penalties .

i would not be opposed if they reduce the bowls down to like 30-35 and make it harder to qualify for a bowl. That being said I enjoy watching all the bowls and have enjoyed attending all the bowls i have went to so don't have a problem keeping it the way it is.

Athlon Sports has us in the First Responders Bowl against UTSA. Seems like a good option. UTSA is likely going to be the CUSA Champs, so yea that would be a good match up. Here is the Hawaii Bowl article about SDSU, so we know it's not us: https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/aztecs/story/20...

UNLV just fired their coach, lol. Shocking given I felt they made improvements this year and it was only year 3 for them.
HUGE mistake in my opinion.
Unless they have some proven commodity lined up it is a terrible move in my opinion. Arroyo had them going in the right direction.

My order of preference

Arizona
One of the bowls not affiliated with direct MW tie ins
NM
Potato

I have a feeling it will be the potato. Due to our record as well as it has been 10 years since we played in that bowl.

Re: UNLV bowl bound?

The way I understand the MWC bowl structure is the conference pools the payout money and then divides the net gain equally among the 12 schools. Doesn't matter what your specific bowl pays. Getting 8 schools into bowl games is nice but as others have said it doesn't net all that much for the confer...

I am not a Tucker lover but some context would be important as well. He is not the person who threw the pick although the play call on 4th and 10 and the 2 plays leading up to it were left with a lot to be desired.
