22 confirmed that we have. Just wondering how many other schools have. If that Cal Baptist kid has over 20 schools on him I’m sure Rich Kelley will have plenty to chose from as well.

Re: Recruiting

The Rich Kelley kid plays very Sam-like albeit shorter. Seems to have a good feel for the game and a good shooter besides being able to play downhill. A bit quicker than Sam but less size. I think he’d be a great option at the point for a year as Rollie and Ashworth get acclimated to D1 hoops. Not s...

Yeah I agree but notice the top two were walk-off winning shots. Sam’s wasn’t a walk-off but was a much bigger moment. Sam’s should have been #1.

Too bad as I was hoping we could land him. Some kids just want to try their hand in a P5 conference. Also Hoiberg is a great recruiter and may actually be able to get Nebraska competitive in the Big 10.

What advice would Coach Andersen give Coach Smith? Do you think he regrets leaving and wishes he would have stayed in Logan instead of bumping up to coach in the Big 10 and PAC 12? He had some rough and stressful times at Madison and Corvallis. Coach Smith has someone close to him in the department ...

I heard that Dutcher was bringing in a bunch of alumni players to scrimmage against SDSU during the break. Doubt Kawhi plays though. ;-) Do we have any former players that could challenge the current team?

What can we expect from Wyoming?

We match up exceptionally well with Wyoming unlike UNM. Keita is going to have a HUGE night. The Pokes have shot 26-27 deep balls each of the past two games at a 43% clip. We need to guard the perimeter well but just as important Queta needs to stay out of foul trouble. If the Pokes were smart they...

SDSU is vulnerable. They have not looked like world beaters the last few weeks. Squeaking by the Zoomies last night is just one example. Wouldn’t surprise me if they lose to the Donks. We have a good path to the championship and whiny Dutcher and his band of transfers are sure beatable so bring’em o...

I may be executed for saying this, but Brock Miller probably has the best chance of the existing players by my estimation. Either him or Bean. In this week’s coaches show Smith did mention Liam as one of the most improved players on the team since last summer, in addition to Dorius and I think Bairstow. Bodes well for the future. It will be real interesting to see the friendly competition between Gentry and Noa. Glad we got them both as they are both pretty versatile. If we lose a close game in the semi's to say Nevada, Boise, CSU, or maybe UNLV, and then they lose a close one in the final to SDSU, I think we are still on the right side of the bubble. If anyone other than us or SDSU wins the tourney, we are NIT bound.

Miller is in the top 5 in the conference (and leads the team) in a few categories related to taking care of the ball. Maybe Smith likes the fact that he doesn’t turn it over. Conlin seems very much like a Nick Heninger type player to me. Similar size and skill set. Nick was a walk on at the U but battled and worked and earned a scholarship there before transferring here. Both seem to have a motor and lots of desire. Just like Nick I think he’ll end up making an impact.
