Re: Justin Bean
If he continues to improve at the rate he has over the past year, he's going to get paid to play somewhere. If he tightens his handles and adds a legitimate 3 point threat along with that improvement, he could make the NBA as a Paul Millsap or Kenneth Faried type player. IF he continues his progres...

Is Porter's ankle still hurting and would keep him out? And is Kuba not playing confirmed? Could Merrill's ankle keep him out? No chance Kuba plays. Yeah, that shouldn't even be a question. The man just had an organ removed. He deserves a bit of rest. Call the appendix an organ is mighty generous.....

So far Duke MSU UNC Seton Hall Oregon or Gonzaga Who's next We’re next. Because of this post. Let’s start overhyping St. Mary’s, that may tip the scale the other way I've heard they are the dark horse to win the WCC championship this year... Funny, I heard they were the favorites by a large margin.

The coach at BYU has crushed but the philosophy has not. They seem to love and die BYU the three. It will be interesting to see if Pope will use a big like Childs or just have him shag rebounds. PG-obsessed fans need to understand, Smith isn't interested in 5'10" fast players who dribble 15 seconds every shot clock. He wants four 6'5" to 6'8" guys on the floor who can all handle, pass, and shoot. He wants the ball moving. He wants everyone sharing. He wants everyone to be a threat to drive...

Re: UNLV needs a new coach..
People lose their **** from game to game and get all worked up. We gotta give it 2-4 seasons to determine what we really have in coaches.
I remember a lot of people calling for Yost's head 2 years ago, then by last year he was the greatest offensive coordinator to ever live.

Cancel the football program
I’ve seen lots of suggestions from the great minds on this board and on twitter, from declining a bowl invite to firings both coordinators. Let me suggest the only logical response to a bad game against a ranked team with a new coaching staff: cancel the football program. If we can’t fill out a smal...

Grown Men
Our team played like grown men last night. We came out and looked like we didn't belong, then we made some adjustments as the game went on. Fonso had all the dunks, which visibly pumped our team up. But really the dunks (and some attempts) that surprised me were from Merrill and Brito. Brito straigh...

I agree that we might struggle with athletic teams, however, I think we can beat them. The Spurs have been doing it for a long time with smart guys who fit in their system in an NBA that really values athleticism. I also think Stew's teams could have beaten more athletic teams had they been able to ...

Re: Future opponent discussion
I went to the Nevada board to check out their reaction to the Davidson debacle. While there I looked into the USC thread where I found the following quote: “ The bad: The guard play vs. length of any sort. Fortunately, we won't face many, if any, more teams that have the length Utah or USC had.” It...

Re: Keys to winning the LSU game
I'd like to see Merrill draw some fouls in this game. None of them are big enough to straight up block Merrill if he decides to drive, and he's gotten really good at drawing the foul going to the hoop. Get a starter or two in foul trouble and these guys are toast. Sidenote: I'm super excited to fin...

Re: Keys to winning the LSU game
Nevada averaged 15 assists per game last season. Good to know. I just remember the game in Logan it seemed like one of the bun brothers was going to hold on to the ball for twenty seconds then take a shot. Nevada had 8 assists in that game, I just looked it up to avoid any more slander. Sorry for t...

Are those total assist numbers as well? Or per game?Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑November 19th, 2019, 2:31 pmLooking at that stat line, Mays sounds like a very impressive player. However, I first thought the steals were per game, and I started having near-debilitating flashbacks of Matisse Thybulle and just about fell off my chair.

Good news is, even without Queta, we still have a good chance to win in every game. I'm not saying we'll go undefeated, but I think we can win 2/3 of St. Mary's, LSU, and Florida (especially given their performances thus far).

I agree. I think we will have some competition for top spot. SDSU and NM have some great transfers and competent coaches. I think Bairstow is great, and will have a great career here. However, those last two games we were up big the whole game... so I would expect starters minutes to go down and backups minutes to go up.
