Re: When will we know if there will be a season?

I'm worried that it's still too early to be taking down the restrictions. Glad we are just easing out of restrictions a little at a time here in the CA Bay Area. My County shelter in place has been extended to May 30, but the golf courses can open next week, so there are carefully measured actions b...

Re: Jordan Love Analysis

The quick easy take is that the Packers wasted a pick on a developmental guy. Something that signals a re-build instead of a re-load, and Rodgers is going to be pissed. I don't buy that. This draft is DEEP with WR's, and the pack will be able to get talent at WR with either or both of their next 2 p...

Re: When will the Oakland A's move from Oakland?

The population in the Bay Area is about equal to the total population in the states of Idaho, Nevada and Utah combined. If half the population of the bay area did leave, there would still be more people here than in any of the markets proposed in the OP Love the A's but like we saw with the Raiders...

Re: Jordan Love Analysis

I said it before and I'll continue to say it, he's the second or third QB taken off the board. The reports that he's a "sleeper" are hilarious.... He never has been a sleeper this year. It's a lazy take from "experts" that see he played at USU and use that as their tag line. He wont make it past th...

I can't wait to see how Love does. Big, front page of the sports section article with a huge picture of Love in my paper today with arguments why the Raiders will take him at #19. Then the writer goes on to say that the Raiders have 2 first round picks and can use their second (#19) pick on Love and...

Pretty hard to judge this early, but the Washington teams aren't exactly SEC class and the stench is what is always was. I like the schedule. The Washington game is our body bag game? Hopefully we get a good payday for a relatively short trip to a game where we should be competitive. (not playing th...

It's Sam's world right now. I'm just happy to be riding along.

Going from that loss to NM to a win over SD? Horrified that we might get kicked out of post season contention by NM or Wyo, to just hoping that we don't get embarrassed by SD.......... To conference champs?

Priceless!

Re: We are facing the Aztecs again in the MWC title game.

I think Queta needs to be a monster in this game, on offense and defense. He needs to really put forth a lot of effort and fight for position. This will force their defense to collapse and double on him when he gets the ball. The defense will not let up on Merrill so it’s going to have to be Brito ...

Let's hope this was just a blip, but our losses all look similar Makes you wonder. The obvious things you guys noted. Re: JLove: Combine Measurables

I hope Love proves me wrong and goes in the 1st. Just for the record, no way the Raiders draft him in the 1st. Gruden doesn't like rookie QB's as mentioned above. He could be a good understudy to Carr. but that's as a 3rd or 4th round pick. I doubt he's around that long. The Carr brothers have known...

Yup, disappointing how it worked out. RB fumbled the ball away on one of his possessions. One of the first comments was about JL's decision on one of his early plays, the RPO. That seems to be a the question W/JL. His decision making. They had a discussion late in the game where one guy said JL had ...

It's not a big deal what the McShay's and Kiper's of the world say. There are hits and misses that come to mind. The Senior Bowl is huge for Love. He can really improve his stock. I'll say that if he really kicks a$$? He'll have a legit shot at the second round. Otherwise he stays in the 3-4 range. Only reason I don't think he has a shot at the first round is that too many people have said he a little rough an...

Smith better look in the mirror before he makes comments about other people. He looks disengaged. Teams take on the personalities of the coach, right? Those kids might be reflecting his attitude. Something is clearly wrong. It's his responsibility to fix it not complain about it. If it's injuries? S...

Re: Sanford headed to Minnesota

I'm not a Sanford fan by any means. Our coaching staff hurt us this year IMHO and that includes GA. I guess GA couldn't fire himself, so this was the next best option. Sanford probably realized he was screwed when someone decided to leave in Yost's offense instead of allowing him to install his own.

The defensive scheme is most obvious when you count players typically dedicated to stopping the run game. Players "in the box." We played 4-3 or 3-4? you have 7 big guys "in the box." You go 4-2 or 3-3? Only 6 big guys are on the field. You see a trend now for teams to take advantage schemes leaning...
