Re: Calhoun Extension
When Calhoun says he thinks you can win a national championship at USU, he may technically be right. You don't have to recruit by school or even conference now, you recruit with money. Any school or fan base that can raise a pile of cat to convince a bunch of top recruits could buy a stellar team. ...

Re: Calhoun Extension
Yup, see Ohio State football for reference. It seems less appealing to continue participating in college sports now. It's a rich man's endeavor. The fan base with the most people that have the most desire to spend the most money for their entertainment will win. Others need not apply. Here's an exp...

That's how you show up for a tournament game. Even with Clifford shooting threes like an Aggie. The rest of the team played ball. Nice win for the Rams. And I must say - USU78 has ruined my head because any time I think of the Rams, I picture that video he posts every football season during the week...

Another random thought: When you're losing an NCAA tournament game by 25 points and you have a couple of players that show up every day to practice and work as hard as the rest of the team, why not let them get a few minutes of game time on that stage? It's not going to have any effect on the outcom...

Still cannot believe that Memphis was a 5 seed. They had a net rankings of 49 and a kenpom of 49. Both of which were lower than CSU. I realize kenpom and net rankings are not the final call but it seems Memphis was way overseeded. I made a bracket selecting winners only by Kenpom ranking (picking t...

Our 25-point loss was only the third worst loss of the day.
Also - our 47 points scored was only second lowest point total for the day.

I see Shulga retained that trait that Aggie players get when they play BYU. The one that causes them to completely shut down and play like crap.

Speaking ofvthe tournament - Ashworth is playing well in Creighton's first round game against Louisville (at least the box score indicates he's playing well).
I have a bracket that shows Texas Tech winning the title. How's that for a sleeper?

You could make the 2.5 hour drive to Bowling Green and tour the Corvette Museum.
Or, make the 2 hour drive to Mammoth Cave NP. I actually really enjoyed Mammoth Cave and canoeing down the Green River out there.

Now, the worst thing that can happen is for all the national pundits to start talking about USU being a favorite upset pick with the potential to make a Sweet 16 run. That is always the kiss of death for USU. We got off to a bad start in that area with a CBS analyst talking about picking us. We got...

The thing that worries me is we play a 7 seed. We were recently dismantled in uncompetitive games by another 10 seed, a 12 seed, and a team left out of the tournament. That did not instill a lot of confidence going into this game.

It’s kind of crazy. I look at csu and with the exception of Clifford I think the rest of the roster is average. But man my opinion must be way off NBA player, shooters and big bodies inside. Good recipe for the Tournament. Shooting 10-18 from 3 against USU and 12-23 so far against BSU will win you ...

This conference is so self-devouring at the top. It is a gauntlet to get through. Nor one of the top 5 teams has lost any of their last 10 games to a team outside the top 5. CSU, BSU, and UNM are the hottest teams coming down the stretch of their last 10 games (1/3 of the season). BSU (8-2) Wins: U...

In section 118 down low there were a couple of CSU fans that got kicked out. All I saw was the CSU fan tried to refuse to leave and had 3 cops come down and escort him out. They were turning around and chirping at our fans all game. Just being general dickheads and probably aided by libations. The ...

With the way CSU is playing right now, it would be a crime to keep them out. In fact, if the MW were to only get 3 bids and the committee wanted the best field available, USU and SDSU would get left out.

Even if we have had a rougher end to the season, it's an end that 80% of teams would gladly take. New coach, a lot of new players, all that for the second straight year. Fans (and players) want to win every game but we don't have a top 20 team so we've gotten what our roster can reasonably expect p...

It’s not great that we’ve seemingly regressed massively. The press and zone worked for 80% of the season, but not the past month or so The conference has figured out how to attack our zone and we haven't made counter adjustments. The bottom line is that we're just not that good. I get that we won 2...

Aggies are giving the Rams the best gift they can. Not only are they playing horribly, they are playing so horribly that CSU can give their starters plenty of rest for the game tomorrow.
