Re: On the more humorous side

So how does that show up in the stats book? Does the closest Aggie to the play get credited with a blocked punt? Or is it a punt with a net negative yards?

Re: End the Shelley experiment

What could Shelley have done better? He had no help from his receivers the entire game. Then when the running game picked up they didn't call any plays for him to make a big play. I remember multiple dropped passes that were right on spot. There were 2 big dropped passes late in the game that would...

Some Perspective

It is no surprise that Boise State has USU's number in head-to-head competition. They have beaten USU 16 out of the last 17 meetings. I was wondering how other teams in the league measure up to BSU. These are MW school's records against BSU since the Aggies joined the conference in 2013: Fresno Stat...

Re: punt game evolved?

It’s because of how punters punt now. When they punt it end over end, usually with a shorter field, it creates a bounce that is less likely to quickly kick forward into the end zone. Allowing 10 yards of space for the ball to land with gunners right there waiting for it, gives a high probability th...

Re: .02 cents from Aggie pops!

Not throwing to the tight end has been a hallmark of USU offenses dating back years. The last time we effectively and consistently used the tight end as a pass catcher was when Chris Cooley was here. It is frustrating, to say the least. I would think that a good way to get some confidence and moment...

McGriff missed a good pass in traffic. Right through his hands. I would like to see him pull that pass down. Receivers didn't help Shelley today.

What an ending to Game 4

That was a fun game. I could not believe that ending. What a meltdown by the Dodger defense. Janzen doesn't back up the catcher, centerfielder muffs a ball, bad relay by Muncy, missed catch by Smith, Arozarena falls down. How many lead changes? Wow.

Re: Covid impact on USU vs BSU

Boise only passed for 178 yards last year. It wasn't the pass the killed us - it was the run (297 yards rushing as a team). Sophomore George Holani ran for 187 yards himself - on just 16 carries. He was getting big chunks of yardage nearly every time he touched the ball. Is he still with them this ...

Ya'll are  First game of the year, and some crazy things have happened all over the country. No tape, not knowing what to expect. Our offense slowing down the amount of plays/possesions. 17.5 is easy money betting on USU this weekend. :thanks: That doesn’t include the 15-20 mph winds forecas...

Re: Covid impact on USU vs BSU

Interestingly enough, the line has moved to Boise -17.5 in certain places. I still took Boise -17.5 (based on the recommendation of an anonymous internet avatar who has pretty good credibility over the years). Moneyline is an insane Boise -1000. I think Boise covers that spread by about two touchdo...

Re: First canceled game (CSU vs UNM)

This is why it was dumb for our league to stall on the season. There is no room on the back end of the schedule to reschedule. I hope we and our opponents are squeaky COVID clean or else we'll have a cancellation which I suppose could happen already on November 26th (Thanksgiving day) if UNM throws...

I just can't make myself forget the BYU, BSU, and AFA games last year. Now we come in this year with a less skilled QB and pretty much the same defensive personnel, but without Mariner and Repp. I can't get real excited for this season.

Taking the Aggie goggles off here.... The reality is, he has had his chances at KC and done well enough with those chances to play exactly as much as he does. He has been good in KC, but never really a game-changer. I agree that I’d rather he be on a team where he’d get more touches though. Hopeful...

42-14 Boise.

I don't think USU has a defense that can stop the Broncos and the offense is going to struggle out of the gates implementing a completely new style with a new QB.

Seems to be on the outside looking in with the Chiefs.
