Re: SDSU/BSU to the AAC?
I don't see San Diego State moving to AAC in football only. They're more of a basketball school than football school, and basketball would suffer being in the Big West or WAC. WCC is a non-option because they only take private schools. Unless the AAC's going to take them in all sports, I don't see i...

Re: Maile's "three pillars" recruiting strategy (from the report)
The only one on the three pillars that I'm still in agreement with is "Locals." USU is a public school and should have representation from the state. It may not be the best players from the state, but USU has had a history of having some really good in-state talent. Obviously they should stretch out...

Re: Rick pitino I mean coach Pope at BYU
Word in the inner circles of BYU athletics is that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree and pope learned some recruiting tricks from his head coach in college (pitino). He has been using Doterra funds to recruit and pay illegally and sanctions are likely. Oh things are going to get bad down in P...

Re: I got to hand it to BYU.
Top ranking G5 champion will get automatic birth to a NY6 bowl which Cincinnati most likely will be, but BYU can get into one of those New year's six bowls as an at-large. It'll be interesting to see after a number of bye weeks how that plays out for BYU unless they could schedule a couple more team...

I got to hand it to BYU.
That's a really good team. I know their schedule was weak, but this team could hang with even really good teams. This Boise State game, I know they're down to their third string quarterback, but what Zach Wilson's doing to Boise State's defense, I don't know if it would have mattered if their good q...

Re: 2020-21 Non conference schedule
I'd imagine USU will play most of the in-state schools for the non-conference schedule. Let me just say it's nice that there will be a non-conference schedule since we are not getting that in football. It just makes sense in basketball because of the amount of games needed to fill a schedule and the...

Re: First canceled game (CSU vs UNM)
This is why it was dumb for our league to stall on the season. There is no room on the back end of the schedule to reschedule. I hope we and our opponents are squeaky COVID clean or else we'll have a cancellation which I suppose could happen already on November 26th (Thanksgiving day) if UNM throws...

Per hartwell only 3 other mw schools allowing fans in Wyoming and the two Nevada schools. I would have thought Air Force would let in the cadets at least. Kind of surprised no on Boise. I was hoping to go to the Nevada game this year hopefully they'll have some tickets on StubHub or something that ...

Awesome to see. Time for the mountain west to now do the right thing. As long as we have California schools in the conference the chances are extremely low. Do you have any confidence that they will? I know I don’t. None at all for a full season or a legit conference season, but I dont see why they...

Okay so it was off by a week but this time confirmed. 8 game conference only schedule. They better hope they don't have any rescheduling issues with COVID since there's not enough weeks to make it up.

Makes me wonder what we will be allowed to have at home games when we start. 6K like they have, or 10 percent capacity? I guess this was decided by state government as it pertains to events.

Re: Future schedules
BYU games are picked up relatively easy. But after seeing the powerhouse schedule they play this year, they could choose to leave us off in the future in favor of some of those powers. Hey there's no need to mock. At least they're playing. That's more than anybody else in the state or out west can ...

I'm hating not having football, but I wouldn't want to see a piece-meal schedule. That’s fair. I would be happy with any type of schedule. But that is just me. It's probably because I don't understand the whole eligibility, who will leave and who will be back scenarios. I wouldn't want our guys was...

Re: Rumor about MWC Teams Looking to Jump
$7.5 Million is the exit fee from what I have found searching the internet. So if anyone wants to leave, be prepared to write a big fat check. Sometimes the conference who wants the school will pay the exit fee in full or pays half the cost. I don't know how much the AAC has, but they could possibl...

Interesting... I can see the Big 12 taking Nebraska back in a heart beat. I never thought BYU would be in the mix with them. I guess nothing is impossible but improbable. Then again this is 2020 what do I freaking know.

The powers of college football took too much of a wait-and-see strategy. A reactionary strategy rather than proactive strategy was the wrong move. I have greater hope for college basketball and here's why. They already cancelled the tournament once, I doubt they cancel it again. It is there main mon...

Does anyone know if we are staying with same dates for our conference games as was originally released on the calendar or is the conference going to re-shuffle the conference games? Hawaii is the big question mark. This is the reason why the mountain West conference may (a big may) have the willingness to allow BYU to play many of the conference teams this season to fulfill Hawaii's role in the conference. I feel bad for Hawaii because this pandemic could wreck them. I guess we...

It's going to be a lean year financially with MW conference-only play because I bet my house that the PAC 12 follows suit and we lose the Washington State and Washington game.
