Re: I believe that we got iced by the fouls and review time

The thing is both teams had to sit through the fouls and the reviews. This was lost by poor coaching and expecting 4 guys to play for two hours and not get gassed True, but the moment changed in the game was when the fouls got crazy. Refs had more playing time than the players at the end of the 2nd...

To give context, the foul number was complain about for the Nevada game last season. There was 2 more fouls here with most at the end of the game.

Re: I believe that we got iced by the fouls and review time

You are up by 2 with 4 seconds to go and you have the ball to in bounds. Lets be honest you should not lose that game. There was no need to rush that pass. YOu have a timeout at the very least send throw the ball past half court so even if they steal they have no time to make anything happen. I agr...

Re: I believe that we got iced by the fouls and review time

The refs blew a 17 point lead in 3:30? Must’ve missed that part. Or was Brito wearing stripes? I think the refs had some bad calls on Queta that allowed him to foul out too early which costed us the game...so in a way the refs did cost us a little. But in no way we should give up a 18 pt lead. 56 f...

The 56 fouls and endless reviewing almost made a quick game into 3 hours.

I believe that we got iced by the fouls and review time

Boise State hit everything with refs not allowing to have defense in the game.
Both teams had a combine 56 fouls.
Rough game, but we will come back.

The one thing is that he did have 5 turnovers.
No doubt this is true, but Bairstow getting 23 minutes against Nevada is a big deal.

He had 2 sweet dimes in a row in like a 20 sec span...one to Queta and one to Anderson for a dunk. Was the spark for the big run we went on! His minutes keep increasing.
So far in this Nevada game in minutes for guards
18 Merrill
14 Bairstow
13 Miller
13 Brito
10 Porter
This is a big deal.

I seriously wonder if Queta is done at USU. There is no reason for him to risk further injury with millions of dollars at stake. At this rate he won’t even get drafted. He doesn’t have millions at stake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk From what I understand Neemias is expected to return to Utah...

Miller would commit the least amount of TOs on our team, and it was surprise when he commits any turnovers. In this game, Miller committed 6 TOs.

Miller had a couple of nice shots at the basket, but otherwise killed us with TOs and badly missed threes. And don't get me started on the defense.
The TO thing threw me the most since he made so few TOs before.

Yeah, I hate references to total stats. It should be per game, or maybe even some kind of enhanced statistic of some sort. But at least use the per game stats. Being 3rd in rebounding is impressive enough. Yes, let's be honest if we had a healthy Queta we would have had more rebounds and free throw...
