Re: Smith vs Odom

Odom coaching angry like he knows the pressure he is under. He got a T in the first half. For what it is worth falslev and Johnson are here. Both solid dudes, but I could live without Ute fans trying to recruit them. I tuned in late so I must have missed Odom getting a T. Smith did tho. I highly do...

Very ugly game. My goodness.
VCU has played in Philly, Tampa and now somewhere(?) in Utah within a week. NIT really did them no favors.
They look a little gassed. Still hanging around but that last 3 hurts. Lucky shot.

Re: Sprinkle's (possible) replacements

In trying to glean all the info I can across the webs combined with some things I've heard, here's a bit of an unofficial summary of seemingly likely candidates: (The list is intended to be in somewhat of a ranked order.) * Tod Kowalczyk, Toledo - He is rumored as the top candidate. He took over a ...

Just saw this on X. The Ohio State community has established a GoFund Me page to help. Thought everyone here would want to know and want to help if possible. Horrible news. Re: Is anyone else somewhat .. empty, about this team and the tournament win?

I absolutely loved this team. Was all in on them. Darius Brown is one of my all-time favorite players. And of our last 4 coaches, I’ve liked Sprinkle best by quite a large margin. It sucks that he’s leaving and that we will likely lose a lot of our best players. That stings. But I will always rememb...

He’s gone. He has already scrubbed USU from twitter
He hasn’t posted anything on Twitter for a year. It’s an old profile. His instagram that he uses all the time still has Utah State basketball in the title block.

Unless he already knows he following Danny to UW im a little surprised that any player wouldn't wait to at least see who the new coach is. Is very early on in the portal window.
You can enter the portal and still stay. Entering lets you evaluate all the options.

Our message board and the Spectrum floor is named after a guy who only had 1 NCAA win. Not saying he is the guy to hire but consistently winning 20+ games a season is not a bad quality in a coach. There should be more opportunity for post season success in the MWC. Well, he at least got us there 8 ...

Re: Why USU?

I think it’s partly because of the rapidity of success of our coaches. It took Medved 4 years to get to the NCAA tourney and he hasn’t won a championship in his 6 years. It has taken Pitino 3 years. Plus I think Odom was a lateral move for personal reasons that I don’t think Medved or Pitino would m...

With $19M in the bank, I doubt he’ll be coaching at Abilene Christian I don't know. It normally doesn't bode well for P5 coaches that are fired after a few years of mediocrity. If I’m fired and have $19M in the bank at 52 years old, I’m sipping something on the beach and not too worried about getti...

Expect the whole team to enter the transfer portal. Let’s see who the new coach can convince to actually come back. I’ve heard Johnson is the most likely to return. Don’t expect anyone else to. Falslev? Heard he’ll enter the portal. Could return to be sure. I was a little surprised when I heard it ...

I know this name might not be very Popular. But there is a a former P5 coach, who got a raw deal, that would be a bounce back, (like Alford, Pitino, etc.) coach from Montana, with Utah Ties, who can recruit athletes to Utah, and who has been to a sweet sixteen. He might be old enough to be happy he...

Definitely biggest shot in spectrum history
I think Chaz Spicer might have a few things to say about that. But definitely top 5 (and a strong contender for #1).
Spicer’s shots were big and exciting but they weren’t for an outright league championship in the MW.
