Heading to Bethune Cookman a HBCU in Florida. From NMSU to the Sacramento Kings to CSUN and now to Bethune Cookman in the SWAC. https://hoopdirt.com/report-reggie-theus-to-be-named-at-head-coach-at-bethune-cookman/ Probably should mention his role in "Hang Time" as well. NCAA to allow athletes to use NIL

Rather than fight it in court. This issue probably cost the Ohio State a National Championship and Jim Tressel his job. I don't have a huge issue with this, less than 1% of the athletes will ever make much off this, even only a few pros make major money from endorsements. https://profootballtalk.nbc...

Re: Utah on the schedule again?

We really need to get off this topic. We will never play Utah in football again. That’s just the new reality. I don't anticipate it will happen, as indicated in my original post. However, 20ish years ago Val Hale said BYU would also never play USU again. That didn't hold, particularly since he was ...

PAC-12 mulls reducing conference schedule to 8 games. Yes, I know there are a lot of other reasons why they don't play anymore, but with a new AD, it could be possible in the future again. https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/06/21/pac-12-athletic-directors-meet-george-kliavkoff-consider-changes-to-stru...

Re: Supreme Court makes decision about college athlete compensation

This will just continue my declining interest in sports. I don't know, the CF Playoff expansion and renewed some of my interest. I truly don't have an issue with allowing athletes to get internships or own their image. That is going to be less than 1% of all student-athletes that will make anything...

Supreme Court makes decision about college athlete compensation

I wonder how all of the March Madness money will be distributed to athletes after this. The NCAA loses again with the Sherman anti-trust law taking precedent. They say this will still be a model of amateurism, but that athletes can't be fairly compensated if money is awarded as an educational aid. h...

We should create some sort of archived list on this site of great Aggie fans in here who have moved on. Jackmormon, Oleblu111, (there was another prior one a few years ago of a dude about 35 years old. I can't quite remember his name).

Gotta hand it to him on a few key situations. When SDSU and BSU left, he worked on an invite for USU. Biggest long term success for athletics in decades. Though the Boise contract to get them back was flawed, he did manage to put the conference back together. Working on this and getting it through w...

I don't think we'll ever see anything like March Madness with football. In basketball, given that you only have five guys on the court at a time, and a roster of just 13, it's more likely that a few lower tier schools are able to put together a strong roster under the radar and shock a "big" team. ...

He may turn out to be a good player and just needs a system, but I don't think that analyzing a player that shoots 42% and 34% is really all that negative.

I hope he is a good player, but not ever recruit pans out, nor every draft pick in the NBA or NFL.
