Re: Frank's Statement

This is exactly what Frank had to say. He didn't accuse the school directly. He said based off of what the players told him. Then he calls for an investigation that is already underway. He is supporting the players who supported him while not wanting any immediate direct action. Too much over reacti...

Re: Recruiting Formula

I think sometimes the need for a missionary program is misunderstood and needing to recruit missionaries. The truth is the coach needs to be willing to accommodate a young man if that is what he chooses to do. There are plenty of programs that won't. That will always be an issue that is more common ...

Per the Trib:
Offensive coordinator Bodie Reeder is still not back with the team after testing positive, Maile said, adding that running backs coach Dave Schramm will run the offense against the Lobos.

Re: What's the point of leaving a team mid season?

There may be limited scholarships across the board at most schools next year. By leaving now you are giving yourself a better chance to get one of those spots and allowing for time to enroll in school in time to participate in spring practices

Re: Coaching Candidates

Why cant Coach Maile be chosen? I dont understand. He's probably about in as enviable position as anyone. He gets a 5 game trial to see if he can turn the team around a litte bit with 3 of the toughest games already out of the way. If he were somehow to go on a winning streak it would be hard not t...

Second half was much better than the first half. Whatever adjustments were made worked. True, we were down big but the team played harder in the second half. This was the first real football played in 10 months.

My guess is only 3 wins but that's because I doubt we will play the entire 8 game season. I'm thinking 3-3. The optimist in me is glad we're playing football and is thrilled with the idea of only 3 losses on the year

Re: Where will our bowl game be?

With the way thre ESPN has their hands in the bowl games I don't think you can put much stock into the supposed pecking order. They are out to maximize viewership. I could see a MW team going to a non-MW tie in bowl.
I'd also prefer drubbing a MAC team in Boise over getting drubbed by a P5 team
