Re: If Both Gach withdraws from the NBA draft he wants to play for Utah State

I was told that the reason we ended up not extending an offer to Both is that we didn't have two open scholarships left.

Re: Recruiting

We have learned from recent experience that there is no better indicator of the quality of an player than how impressively they can dunk on an undersized rim.

With the shenanigans going on at Kansas the NCAA had to flex on somebody to show how serious they are about academic integrity.

by himself in an empty gym?

I don't know how to post a link but it's on the ESPN front page.

We had better appreciate Sam for what little time we have left with him. We will never see another one like him. My favorite basketball player of all time. And it’s not remotely close.

Re: Our NCAA Tourney struggles

Our losses in the tournament can only be explained by us underachieving. There was not one time in living memory that we faced a decent team. Let's start with UCLA. A few names. Jason Kapono, Earl Watson, Dan Gadzuric. Matt Barnes. That sorry team couldn't even field a full starting line up of NBA p...

Well, I remember kind of an important and 1 that he had last year against Boise that miraculously forced overtime and allowed us to steal that game. Maybe it’s just me but I thought that was a pretty good and 1.

It seemed like Sam decided he had to be more aggressive after Queta went down. There's basically no such thing as a bad shot when he is shooting it. Green light all the time. We need to enjoy this season because we are going to miss watching him play.

Just because the shots went in doesn’t necessarily mean we were defending them poorly. Haws was hitting deep 3s off the dribble. Just because he made some tough shots doesn’t necessarily mean we were defending them poorly. As I remember it, the shots that hurt us from other players were where they k...

Silver Lining

If there is a silver lining to the game last night it is what we saw from Queta. 23 minutes played. Moving around a lot better and making an impact. It is obvious that he is still rusty but he is so much better than he was in the Fresno game. I am more confident than ever that we will have the old Q...

I would venture to guess that some of the hesitation in definitively stating Queta's prognosis comes from the fact that an MRI can only tell you so much. You can have very similar findings on MRI between two different people and have two very different outcomes. It's great that there are no tears bu...

Whatever you are thinking don’t do it. After what has come out about LSU and violations at other major programs recently the NCAA needs to REALLY punish a mid major program to prove that they are serious about enforcing the whole student athlete thing.

Yeah, UCF really showed out against Duke. Amazing performance. But it would really hurt to lose a game like that because they should have won it. It took about four things going wrong in the final two minutes for them to lose that.

Fletcher Magee

Look at what Kentucky did to Fletcher Magee. When a good defensive team’s whole game plan centers around stopping one guy they can make it pretty hard on him.
