Re: Significant Speed Upgrade on Defense

Roy:

Nice post. This is what has me excited for the coming season. I feel somehow embedded in all of this is improved "toughness" that physicality GA said was lacking.

Aggie 19 - Had no idea Rex had that proclivity. Appreciate any humor especially good humor during these recent times. Still find Rex's assessment interesting and wish he had disclosed more detail...but it sounds like it is no more complex than simple preference.

Re: Anyone have access to J Love article?

Roy - No apology needed. I welcome and enjoy your posts. As 2004Ag pointed out my sources are definitely the minority but not necessarily out of touch with reality. That also does not mean they are correct in their assessment but others seem to have shared their less than full endorsement..they may ...

Re: Anyone have access to J Love article?

2004 - I agree completely. What made it worth posting was those were surprising if not shocking outlier opinions at the start. I am really interested in Rex Ryan's take...Herbert before Love...not liking Jordan's footwork. Of course I may be biased but my opinion is had Jordan had the elite receiver...

Re: Anyone have access to J Love article?

Just had an update on Jordan Love from my two scout buddies who were at the NFL combine. There has been a positive upward shift. I spoke with with them at the beginning of the 2019 season and they had Jordan going in the 4th or 5th round. This did not sit well with the posters on this board. After t...

Frankie not so much a lack of QBs the conflict is many good QBs and perhaps the best crop of receivers ever in the draft. Makes for a hard choice.

Re: Teams Asking About JLove 2019 Interceptions

I have to chuckle...I was one of those big Kent Myers proponents. Really smitten with his high school film and really thought Yost could get in his head and elevate his game. Never happened...realized in the final season he lacked football IQ. Jordan Love in contrast...I was not at all impressed wit...

Elsapo absolutely agree NFL throws throughout the game. Flawless mechanics and footwork working the pocket yesterday. He was grading at a 4th round and I think yesterday’s game enhances the chance of going earlier regardless of the incident. One of the comments I have consistently heard from scouts ...

Good point! It is certainly not a perfect one. But is meant to put GA's resume into perspective at least in global way. Clearly there are many red herring variables that would need to be considered but it certainly cannot be argued that his career has been stellar. Forget the GPA analogy and go simp...

Glad they get to play and also see that posters so far are not judgmental. These are three good kids...they are in fact kids whose youth makes them vulnerable to lapses in judgment. Floppy Hat - Read my past posts. I have been an unwavering fan of YOST - and consider himself to be one of the top tier QB coaches and OCs in college. In fact in a recent post I mentioned how great it would be if the Bears took JL because that puts two Yost mentored QBs on the same roster. You are c...

Attended last weeks ASU and UA game in Tempe. Spoke with one scout who says most scouts grade him as a 4th round pick. I know several of you were reactive to my early season post - NFL scout friends of mine had Love projected as a 5th round pick. Bleed - I believe you are correct on this. I was slow to come around and it was not until the CSU game that I realized we were in serious trouble. Blueaggie you do have a point and to be fair yes there is a difference between being OC and HC.
