Re: Game Ball

My purpose for this thread was to compliment our punter. I said he could be a candidate for the game ball. I too think, as in most games, that there are several guys that deserve mention for a game ball. Scarver, Bright, Grayson, Woodward, and Bartolic all had good games, and there were others too. ...

Re: Game Ball

To be fair, a few of these punts turned out well because they were so short the Nevada return man coyldnt get under it and they then rolled forever. To be more fair, he nailed two punts that were inside the 10 yard line, one on the one, that gave us the chance for a safety. The bottom line is that ...

Game Ball

A deserving candidate to award the Game Ball to is Bartolic. His punting was spectacular at times, and solid all night.
Special teams in general were outstanding.

We has Ashworth coming off a mission and the Montana kid. But we lose Brito, Merrill, probably Queta, Groot, and maybe Porter. I know we are bringing in the kid this weekend that is going on a mission, but can't get too excited about that because even he signs with us, it doesn't mean he will play ...

Look at the bright side. nevada lost by 51 points against Hawaii at home in their last bad weather game (same day as our game against csu). This board’s ability to s*** on the coach who brought Utah State the longest period of sustained football success in recent memory never ceases to amaze me. Alphonso Anderson looks really good. Who knows what'll translate to a game but I'm excited. I think he was a great addition. It'll be interesting to see if him or Bean starts at the Forward position. McChesney's shot is as good as advertised. It looks awesome. It's no secret he needs to gain some w...

We almost "butt kicked" them in 1997 at Reno. 38 to 19. Didn't seem it was that close. I went to the game and spent most of the time dodging beer cans, a being called a f..ing Mormon. It must be difficult to live in a state that owes its very existence separate from California to Mormon pioneering ...

I grew up watching the Wayne Estes era. After that came the Shalor Halimon years, then the Roberts/Williams/Tebbs years (the best Aggie team ever (imo). Greg Grant, Brian Jackson, the Stew Morrill era. etc. etc. which included Jaycee Carroll. This years team, I feel, has the potential to be one of t...

I wouldn't look past Nevada EVER - they seem to have our number. Look at our all time record against them, they are like Colorado State, when we beat them or lose to them, it's always bad and sloppy. We've never had a butt kicking game vs ReNO. We almost "butt kicked" them in 1997 at Reno. 38 to 19...

Re: We Miss YOST so much!!!

I would not necessarily blame Sanford as much as the heat. The further the game went on, the worst we played. When your body is not used to 96 degrees with 90 percent humidity. It takes it out of you REALLY fast. Maybe even worse than an altitude change.....but that is debatable. It takes weeks to a...

I've forgotten how much faster the MWC teams get to the line on offense. I'm honestly losing interest whenever LSU has the ball because they take so long between snaps.

Unfortunately, our team has also lost interest. Kidding......I think the heat is a monster in this game.

Re: Fake injuries to slow fast pace

You can’t penalize injuries in such a physical game. I do think you can have the kid sit out a series if he is hurt, or be forced to take a timeout. I also think that only the hurt player should be subbed for if the game is stopped for an injury. It’s sad that we have to have this discussion. Sent ...

OSU spends nearly $10 million less in school funds to support athletics than what USU does, now they have a real problem in that they are running deficits. the percentage of their budget that comes from students and university is much lower than what we have. Maybe it's time for us to trade places ...

Re: Fake injuries to slow fast pace

I think it should be for the series. A half or even a quarter is too much if a guy gets a cramp or has the wind knocked out of him. A series would limit the flopping. The player should be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct with a 15 yard penalty. A second one would put him out of the game. Just my...
