Re: Gary interview - July 29

It would be more than foolish for the coaches to guarantee a starting to job to JS or for that matter almost any transfer that would come to USU. I seriously doubt GA did so. I listened to the interview and that is certainly not what I heard. I'm sure he didn't "guarantee" the job, but Shelley isn'...

Re: Jason Shelley’s Skill Set

Good job finding the video and agree with your analysis except for the arm strength part. There is a lot of arc on his mid range throws. They tend to be floaters. Those can work in high school, but the speed of secondaries in college will punish that. Now maybe he was throwing those because he didn...

Re: Colombi Transferring

Great news for HC. I hope he kills it at TT. I for one have no problem with GA going after JS. Every good coach is always recruiting and upgrading the overall talent whenever the opportunity presents itself. That being said, IF he thought HC had a chance to be his starter he should have had multiple...

Re: New QB transfer?

Stating what seems obvious at this point: 1) The coaches were not sold on HC 2) They had to know there was a good chance HC would leave and they were fine with that. If not, there would have been conversation with HC before bringing Shelley into the fold. 3) My guess is that the locker room being up...

Re: Morgan Scalley Suspended for Racial Slur

I am probably the only one but I think the Utes managed this well and made the right decision. The investigation they conducted was done by an outside firm from KC and from all accounts it was very thorough and well done. There is a lot of reasonableness in what they did and where they landed.

Its so odd to me that Sam is considered somewhat of a liability on defense when he spend 3 years playing 35 min a game usually defending the other teams best shooter. I'm not a scout but he never seemed like a defensive liability to me. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk I haven't seen one person/...

If memory serves me, Lance Washington was a very good ball handler/decent distributor but not much of a shooter.
That is what I recall as well. Occasionally he would hit some wide open shots but most teams would back off of him and dare him to shoot. Very good ball handler and penetrated well.

I don't understand, so can someone explain to me why players go through such a long reveal process? Why post "Top 5" or stage signings? Re: If Both Gach withdraws from the NBA draft he wants to play for Utah State

This was alluded to another thread, but after looking at Gath's stats and seeing he's a 25% shooter from 3pt area, it's weird that we get so excited about guys that shoot worse than Miller/Brito/Porter. And add to that his assist to turnover ration is 1:1. Having said that, I would be glad to land ...

It might be blasphemous to say, but Chuckie doesn't deserve the #2 spot on the list. It's cool and all that he was the QB at the beginning of the resurgence of our football program BUT in all honesty, he didn't really get a whole helluva lot done. Other than Utah, it was close but no cigar the rest...

A lot of the UVU players were not happy this year and some of them going in the portal that want to play for Pope at BYU. I have no idea how Jardine feels about Duryea but I do know that TD going to Boise was not why Jardine left. He wanted out of Boise because it wasn't working.

The bracketing is really messed up. The most glaring one for me is Nate Williams. He is one of the best players to ever lace em up on a college floor in our wonderful state. He is definitely a top 15 or 16 guy and he got a 9 seed.

It was a foul but one that is inconsistent in how it is called. Especially that far away from the basket. The out of bounds call on Queta was atrocious. The missed call on Sam not so much.

Announcers have opinions just like all of us. I think in both games they have been fine and actually gave us a ton of love in game 1. I have no problem with them. Seems that we are really think skinned at times. No one is out to get us and we get credit when we earn it.
